Waiting sucks. Season 6 of True Blood is almost here and fans have a lot to think about. First, there was that insane first preview of the season (view that here) and then there are those rumors (here) that Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) will not survive the season. And now we wonder what has Jason so gun-happy and pissed off, besides being covered in Billith and whatever other vampire he blew up a couple hours earlier.
True Blood returns for a sixth season June 16th on HBO.
Check out this preview clip of a scene involving a very agitated Jason Stackhouse.

Uhoh! Do True Blood fans have to worry that their beloved Eric Northman may not survive the new season? Apparently there are rumors going around that HBO is poised to kill off the viking vampire in the upcoming 6th season of their hit series. While this particular rumor hasn’t been confirmed or denied, it has been confirmed by Joe Manganiello himself that the table reads are getting a bit smaller and Ryan Kwanten just revealed that “There are some deaths. Favorite characters may not last.” Say it isn’t so! With episode 7 of season 6 being titled “The Funeral“, that doesn’t sound so cheery.
True Blood returns to HBO on June 16th.
Check out what else he had to say about the rumors:
Via TVLine:
Question: There are rumors that True Blood is going to kill off the gorgeous and sexy Eric Northam! Please tell me this isn’t true. He is one of the main reasons I watch. —Kelly
Ausiello: I can neither confirm or deny the rumors, but I can offer you two pieces of evidence that suggest such a twist is in the realm of possibility. The first one comes care of Joe Manganiello, who tells TVLine, “We’re getting to the point in the season now where people are starting to die. The table reads are starting to get smaller, and I’m sure they will continue to do that.” Exhibit B, meanwhile, arrives in the form of Episode 7′s title — “The Funeral.” Sorry I don’t have better news for you Kelly.
Question: Any serious True Blood scoopage? —Colleen
Ausiello: I suppose that depends on how you choose to interpret this additional, equally provocative tease from Mr. Manganiello: “I think [the producers] looked at some things that went on with Alcide last season, and thought, ‘How can we top that or how can we get even racier?’ And I think they’ve succeeded… Right out of the gate, it’s really juicy.”
Yikes. I’m not sure who could go in the new season. Is Bill even still alive? Could it be the end of Billith AND Bill? I can see Steve Newlin being killed off now that his wife will be back in the picture.
What do you guys think?
I can’t believe how long it’s been since that crazy season 5 finale of True Blood. My favorite television moments always happen when I can sit on the edge of my seat and loudly declare: “WTF?!” And when Billith emerged in last year’s finale, it’s pretty safe to say the entire audience did the same. HBO has released the first promo for the upcoming sixth season of True Blood set to premiere June 16th.
Billith is here to stay. I can’t tell if there’s going to be a bigger war against him..or humans.

True Blood certainly ended with quite a cliffhanger last season. The long wait between seasons isn’t helping my curiosity any. I don’t know much about the upcoming sixth season, other than it will probably be bloody and bloody crazy now that Billith exists. Fresh off a stint on House, Karolina Wydra will be joining the cast as Violet. Her character is described as sexy (of course), strong, possibly dangerous, and the female equivalent of Bill or Eric. Did I mention she’s going to be a bad ass vampire? Things are going to be interesting when True Blood returns to HBO in June.
There have been a lot of new additions to the cast this year. I’m more interested in the characters that are already established. Honestly, I would watch an hour of Steve Newlin and Jason Stackhouse shopping together. Think about it. Steve picking out sweater vests for Jason and Jason buying scarves and north face womens jackets for Sookie to protect her faery blood from other vampires.
What do you think will happen when True Blood returns to HBO? Now that Alan Ball is out of the picture, will the show be totally different?

So much was going on during last night’s True Blood season finale that it’s hard to imagine them cramming in any other scenes or raising anymore questions. They saved it for us to ponder once the episode ended. In this bonus scene from Save Yourself, Jason wonders out loud about where Warlow is hiding so he can shoot him. Someone listening to the conversation asks him “What do you know about Warlow??”
How will this factor in to next season? Have we met Warlow before? Who will be the bigger villain? Him or Billith?
