Few Broadway musicals have stuck with me and resonated as deeply as Dear Evan Hansen. The emotional story that follows a young boy with extreme anxiety has been a light in the darkness for so many of us out there.
I have been fortunate enough to see and experience Dear Evan Hansen live and in person a handful of times. I have experienced different actors take on the emotionally taxing role and make it their own each time. And each time, these incredibly talented Evans reduce me to a puddle of tears that ends up causing water damage to my beloved Playbill.

Warren Egypt Franklin is quickly rising as a triple threat performer. Perhaps best known for his work as Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in the touring company of Hamilton, Warren is now celebrating his first television role. Warren can next be seen starring as Des in the fourth season of the Freeform series Grown-ish.

We recently got to chat with Edward Einhorn about the upcoming performances of Cabaret in Captivity. An annual cabaret produced by Untitled Theater Company No. 61 in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, Cabaret in Captivity will have performances as part of New York City’s Open Culture program.

A Musical About Star Wars
2019 is a big year for Star Wars fans. A new movie, Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge…and a musical? A Musical About Star Wars is set to make a splash off-Broadway at Theatre Row on May 4, and it’s sure to be a meta-celebration of all that fans love from the iconic franchise.
The production is the brainchild of Tom D’Angora and stars Taylor Crousore, Scott Richard Foster, and Emily McNamara. We spoke with Tom about his inspiration behind the re-imagining of one of the greatest movies of all time and what fans can expect from this musical interpretation.
