Forget what you think you know about A Capella music. It’s not all “Pitch Perfect” and college campuses. In fact, what I witnessed last week at the Theater at Madison Square Garden absolutely blew my mind. Pentatonix goes beyond what one would expect of an a capella group that got their start on NBC’s “The Sing Off”. Although they won that competition, it didn’t exactly make their dreams come true. It was, however, their immense talent, dedication, work ethic, and amazing personalities that turned them into global superstars. With a little help from YouTube.
Pentatonix kicked off their “On My Way Home” tour on February 25th and proved to their fans that this time, they were taking things to a new level.

Pop/Rock artist Mikey Wax is a star on the rise. A national touring musician who has amassed over 87 thousand followers on Twitter, Mikey has opened for Jon McLaughlin, Howie Day, Andy Grammer, and more. His music has been featured on television across the country, including the hit shows So You Think You Can Dance, Dance Moms, Pretty Little Liars, and even the Olympics.
Mikey Wax has more exciting news coming up, as his new original holiday hit “And A Happy New Year” will be featured on the ABC Family hit drama series Switched at Birth. The series is celebrating the first holiday episode for the series on December 8th and fans of Mikey Wax can tune in to hear this catchy tune featured on the episode.
We had the chance to chat with Mikey about the upcoming episode, his new music and holiday EP, and what his fans can expect from him next.

Pentatonix have recently released their latest EP PTX VOL III. I don’t think anyone knew what we would be in for when these guys first walked the stage of the competition series The Sing-Off. They have taken A Capella music to a new level and have a nice, shiny new record deal to show for it.
‘PTX VOL III’ has no rules. It’s a wonderful blend of each member’s creativity, influence, and talent. You can tell they gave this their all and it shows. An EP that is a mix of covers and original songs, ‘PTX VOL III’ showcases magnificent vocals and insanely mind-blowing beats provided by member Kevin Olusola. My only complaint so far is that it contains only 7 songs.

Pentatonix have released their latest official music video in support of their new album PTX VOL. III. The album debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart and number 3 on the digital albums chart. Pentatonix have previously released music videos for “Problem”, “La La Latch” and “Papaoutai”. The super talented group will also be releasing their latest Christmas album “That’s Christmas To Me” on October 21st.
Pentatonix’s latest video features their cover of Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be”. Shoutout to Kevin’s Yankees hat and Avi’s beard. This is great.
