This is exciting! If you’re like me and grew up in the 90s, you will recognize Kel Mitchell as one the most talented comedians of the better half of that decade. Kel brought his talent to Nickelodeon where he starred on All That, Kenan and Kel, and eventually, Good Burger. This man is the reason you have a strange obsession with orange soda to this day. And we love him for it.
The 25th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards is set to return Saturday, March 31st at 8pm on Nickelodeon. Will Smith is set to host the show. Remember when Rosie hosted every year? I miss her. Katy Perry is slated to perform at the show. So far, guests announced to appear include Chris Colfer, Big Time Rush, Miranda Cosgrove, Zac Efron, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield among others. Have you ever been slimed?

90’s fans are celebrating today after news broke that TeenNick’s 90’s programming block The 90’s Are All That would be moving to primetime. Instead of having to stay up until 2 am to see our favorite shows of the past, fans can now tune in at 10pm starting this friday. The lineup will also be seeing some new additions as well! Fans will get to vote on what airs during UPick and Hey Dude is the latest show to be announced.
What do you wanna see? Details:
TeenNick’s ’90s block is just too crazy popular to air at midnight, so the cable net has decided to move it where even more 20-something can appreciate a good rerun when they see one. Beginning this Friday, The ’90s Are All That will move up two hours to 10 p.m., where the rotating block of beloved Nick shows will now air seven days a week.
That’s not all: Hey Dude will now have a much-coveted spot in the lineup, alongside All That, Kenan & Kel and Doug. And Stick Stickly – aka the famous popsicle stick from the ’90s — will make a triumphant return to host a new interactive segment called “UPick with Stick.” Every Friday night, Stick (voiced by Paul Christie, who first originated the role for Nick) will highlight ’90s Nickelodeon episodes chosen by viewers via Facebook and www.90sAreAllThat.com.
Still like the idea of watching Kenan and Co. at midnight? Have no fear: TeenNick still plans to replay the block from 12 to 2 a.m. (At 10, the block will replace back-to-back repeats of Malcolm in the Middle and What I Like About You).
For those who forgot about the goofy conceit behind Hey Dude, here’s a quick reminder: The live-action series was one of Nickelodeon’s first that aired from 1989 to 1991. Shot on location in Tucson, Ariz., the laugher centered on a wacky group of teenagers working at the Bar None western dude ranch and starred David Brisbin (Mr. Ernst), David Lascher (Ted), Christine Taylor (Melody), Kelly Brown (Brad), and Joe Torres (Danny).
TeenNick says The ‘90s Are All That has scored huge gains for the net, posting double-digit increases over last year (50%) among adults 18-34 in the time period. The reruns are a throw back to Nick’s roots in 1991, when it first expanded into original programming with Ren & Stimpy, Doug and Rugrats.
Are You Afraid of the Dark is also rumored to be joining the lineup. I think they should add it earlier in the month so fans can enjoy it during Halloween. When will the game shows arrive? What Would You Do, Double Dare, GUTS, Wild and Crazy Kids, and Legends!
New shows from 90’s Nickelodeon have been rumored to be added to Teen Nick’s 90’s Are All That lineup for the past couple of weeks. Hey Dude was scheduled to air starting tonight but for whatever reason, the lineup will stay the same. Which is fine by me, I love me some Clarissa. However, it looks like they’ve finally decided on some changes and new shows that will be added THIS MONTH.
Which shows will be added and when? Check it out!
Starting October 7th You Pick with Stick
Starting October 10th Hey Dude
Starting October 17th The Amanda Show
Starting October 31st Are you Afraid of the Dark
Hmm. I never liked The Amanda Show. It actually doesn’t seem like it belongs. Wasn’t it on in the 2000’s? Meh. I can’t wait to see Hey Dude and Are you Afraid of the Dark! Personally, i think they should start Are You Afraid of the Dark before Halloween and air it throughout October and take advantage of the season. Keep in mind, this schedule could still change at any time.
I’m still disappointed at the lack of game shows. I’m still hoping for Double Dare and What Would You Do with a side of GUTS and Legends of the Hidden Temple. What would you like to see on the lineup?
Well this sucks. TeenNick announced today that they will be replacing Doug and Clarissa Explains It All with Rocko’s Modern Life and Hey Arnold. Don’t get me wrong, I loved those shows too. But why get rid of two shows that fans also love and replace them with shows that are already on dvd and available on netflix. Rocko is already airing on another channel. Is this a move to save money? Couldn’t they add these two shows AFTER the shows already airing on the program block instead of airing repeats? I’m happy they’re adding shows but not at all happy with how they are handling this. Their facebook is already getting steamrolled with complaints. Get it together TeenNick. This is one of the best ideas in a long time. Please don’t ruin it for the fans.
