Are the Charmings running out of time when it comes to saving Henry from Pan and the rest of his minions? When Challenged by another boy filled with arrogance, Henry slices him across the face with a sword. Is Pan getting just what he wants? Is Henry slowly losing hope and turning into a proper Lost Boy? Can the viewers get what they want? Can’t Pan just keep him?
I suppose I shouldn’t be greedy. We are getting an episode full of Captain Hook. And Colin O’Donoghue getting more screen time is fine with me. We actually see a flashback before the rum, the hook, and the guyliner. He’s a leftenant (Sleepy Hollow!) for the King and his brother is his Captain. Killian Jones is sweet and all but I think I prefer the sassy “one handed pirate with a drinking problem.”
They fly to Neverland (Using one of Pegasus’ wings!) to retrieve Dreamshade for the King. They are under the impression that it has healing powers but the King obviously wants it for the damage it can cause. Pan attempts to warn them and Killian shows some doubts. Hoping to alleviate this, his brother ends up killing himself with the poisonous plant. Pan offers to help save him with a spring of healing water..that comes at a price.
Killian Jones finds out too late that the price was his brother can’t leave the island once drinking the water. After being forced to say goodbye to his brother, his transformation into Hook begins.
Back in present day, Hook has quite a crush on Emma. It’s actually a little creepy and out of nowhere. Is she just a prize to be won? Charming warns Hook to stay away from his daughter and Hook warns Charming that he has only hours left. Not wanting to die anything but a hero (please), Charming agrees to accompany Hook on a mission up the mountain to find a sextant able to help them leave the island.
Pan takes Hook aside and offers him a deal. If he kills Charming, he can come back and work for Pan. Everyone is making tough decisions tonight. Frustrated, Emma agrees to allow Regina to rip out the heart of one of the Lost Boys in order to get a message to Henry.
Once they make it to the top of the mountain, Hook reveals he lied about the sextant and he just wanted to get Charming to the healing water. He drinks it and is healed..but will he have to stay in Neverland forever?
Emma is pleased that Hook helped save her father and she thanks him with her tongue. Is the romance short lived? Pan appears to relay to Hook that Neal is still alive and on the island..thus putting him in the awkward position of ruining his bond with Emma by telling her or pissing her off when she finds out that he didn’t.
Neal is in a cage and being strung up in a tree. He’s next to another prisoner. Who could it be? All I can think of is Rumple.
