Miley Cyrus may have been both the host and musical guest on last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live but cast member Taran Killam was the one on fire. Delivering the laughs in almost every skit he appeared in, Taran is the one remaining ray of hope left after many regular cast members left the show last season.
Miley and Taran appeared in a parody of her “We Can’t Stop” video: “We Did Stop (The Government)”.

I have mixed emotions about the upcoming season of Saturday Night Live. On one hand, a handful of my favorite performers have left the show to pursue other things. On the other hand..Tina Fey is hosting! In this new promo from NBC, Tina joins Kenan Thompson to promote her upcoming episode where she hosts the season 39 premiere. The promo features a wardrobe malfunction, a Breaking Bad shoutout, and Kenan will ruin the number 39 for you forever.

While it hasn’t been much of a secret and was very much suspected after the season finale episode, Fred Armisen has confirmed he will not be returning next season on Saturday Night Live. Fred has been with the show for 11 years and will be joining Bill Hader in exiting the show this year. In his last sketch for the show, Fred sang “It’s Been a Lovely Night With You” to give fans a proper goodbye.
Fred has said the demands of his series Portlandia will be taking up much of his time from now on.
