Taylor, Jim and the rest of the colony are thrown for a loop when an orphaned girl shows up at camp claiming to want to find a way back to 2149. She’s dirty, starving and scared. After a meal and a hairbrush, she goes to stay with Jim and his family while they try to figure out what’s going on. Taylor is suspicious of the girl from the start and thinks she may have been sent from the Sixers to spy.
Mira and the sixers show up with their war paint and bad ass attitudes to get her back. The girl refuses and wants to stay and Mira is visibly annoyed that she gave up two hostages for nothing. Taylor and his silky white beard are pissed that Mira even knew the girl was staying with them. He blames it on the mole in camp and enlists Jim’s help in identifying them.
Turns out that Taylor was right all along and the girl is a spy. Mira was putting up a show so the little girl could gain Taylor’s trust. She breaks into Mira’s old house to steal a box that was hidden in the floor. Jim catches her before she can escape with it and takes her to Taylor and his bitchin’ dino desk. Where can I get one of those?
The girl has no idea what’s inside or how to open it and claims she thinks Mira will hurt her brother if she didn’t steal it. Taylor doesn’t believe her but Jim does. He goes against orders to find his brother but finds himself erm, turned upside down. Literally. He’s almost a dino snack before Mira’s minions find him and take him back to their hide out. Mira questions Jim and seems disappointed that he believes in Taylor. She paints him the bad guy and says that he pissed off a lot of people back in 2149 and if she gets rid of him, she’ll get to see her daughter again. When Jim gets back to camp, it looks like he may be starting to doubt Taylor. What is he hiding?

Taylor and Elisabeth are exposed to a virus that slowly causes amnesia. Those exposed only remember their lives to a certain point. The two of them are placed under quarantine while Elisabeth tries to come up with a solution. When no one hears from them, it’s clear the virus has progressed. Jim asks Malcolm for help checking on his wife because he’s the one with a car. Taylor has disappeared and Elisabeth is wandering around confused with a gun. When the two men come inside, she shoots Jim and hugs Malcolm because he is all she remembers.
Malcolm rushes to catch her up to speed so the two of them can come up with a vaccine. Jim tries to find Taylor and is surprised when he does. Taylor and his crazy eyeballs think they’re in some war he fought in 20 years ago. Everyone is his enemy and he’s looking for his dead wife. This crazy old man knocks Jim’s lights out and is trying to make his way back into Terra Nova. This is a problem because he could infect the whole camp. Things take another turn for the worse when Malcolm begins to show symptoms. And by symptoms, I mean hitting on Jim’s wife. And that’s not gonna fly with him. Jim is badass. Malcolm progresses too far to be of anymore help so Jim takes pleasure in knocking him out to save him from himself. Elisabeth struggles to remember Jim and the kids and ugh, it’s such a well acted scene. I love it. Elisabeth realizes that Jim isn’t getting sick because he already is. With a cold. And it’s counteracting the virus. Ouila vaccine.
The kids are dealing with relationship drama while their parents are off battling amnesia. Maddy is awkwardly flirting with the hot soldier and Josh kisses Sky. He hesitates because he left his girlfriend behind. Sky tells him that she knows someone that can get her there. She takes him to a guy who runs a bar and demands payment and the ability to keep secrets for that kind of help. Josh is a goldmine to him because he’s Jim’s son and this guy works for the Sixers. Uhoh. This kid is just being written to be the biggest boob and most hated on the show isn’t he?
