Tonight CBS airs the 3rd episode of Under the Dome. The episode needs to have a good ratings after last week’s terrible result. The show lost about 15% of audience in just a week, quite surprising for a show produced by Stephen King & Stephen Spielberg.
BIG NEWS for Stephen King’s fan. As today marks the debut of Under the Dome (adapted from his novel published in 2009), his next book Doctor Sleep gets a teaser.
Doctor Sleep is not just the simple new King’s book it’s also the sequel of one of his most popular novel: The Shining. The novel became not only a literary hit but also cinema classic with Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation featuring the incredible performance from Jack Nicholson.
Planned to go on sale September 24, the novel will follow Dan Torrance who is now a middle-aged man still haunted by the inhabitants of the Overlook Hotel. Years after the events of The Shining, he is settled in a New Hampshire Town where he works in a nursing home using his remnant shining power to provide the final comfort to the dying. Over there, he becomes for the patient the “Doctor Sleep”.
This is one of the most awaited TV shows of the summer: Under the Dome premieres tonight, June 24th, on CBS.
The show follows the residents of Chester’s Mill, a small town, whose lives are suddenly changed when they’re cut off from the rest of the world when a mysterious impenetrable barrier, shaped like a dome, surrounds the town. A small group of people decides to reunite their force to maintain peace and order trying to answer the question: why this dome appeared and how to escape. The show stars some well-known actors such as Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight) and Dean Norris (Breaking Bad).

With a star studded cast that includes appearances by Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Christina Applegate, Kristen Wiig, John C. Reilly, and more, this movie looks to be one you won’t want to miss.

Walt Disney Animation Studios presents Frozen. The studio behind past hits like Wreck-It Ralph and Tangled have begun promoting the big screen animated comedy. The movie will feature the voice talents of Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, and Idina Menzel. While not quite what I was expecting, the kids will love this one. The animation already reminds me of movies like Ice Age and Tangled. Those were both huge hits.
The movie is expected to hit theaters this Winter with a release date of November 27th.
