Lael Summer — the sultry NYC songstress — has been wowing audiences en masse since her first showcase at the age of ten. Looking to build upon the release of her debut EP last August, Summer is poised to bring her soulful style to an even wider audience with ‘Burden To Bear.’ (more…)

Today we bring you an incredibly talented indie singer-songwriter from Pennsylvania. Amelia Scalies has completed a full length release entitled “I Should’ve Known“. Already so talented and accomplished at such a young age, we can see why she’s been wowing audiences around the Northeast with her performances. We just got done listening to the album and we think this is definitely something you guys “should know” about.
Amelia is described as indie alt-pop and everything from alternative rock to country. With music this good, who needs to be put in a box? After listening to the first track, I would say Amelia’s sound is similar to that of Paramore and No Doubt with a dash of Jimmy Eat World. All of which, I love.
Her vocals are very mature and are coupled with powerful lyrics anyone would be able to relate to.

We’ve got another great local band for you guys to check out today. Echo Hill, a four-piece New York based rock band aims to bring back the heart of Rock N’ Roll. Inspired by the likes of Incubus, Rage Against The Machine and Linkin Park, Echo Hill has just released their latest EP “Namaste”.
In recent months, Echo Hill has been generating an impressive amount of recognition. They have been featured on the cover of Goodtimes Magazine and received a mention in Long Island, New York’s biggest newspaper, Newsday. Perhaps most impressive of all, the band hosted the “Rock N Roll Feed Your Soul” benefit concert. On behalf of Island Harvest, the largest hunger relief organization on Long Island, they were able to help raise over 980 pounds of food.

Christina Perri is releasing a long-awaited new single tomorrow, but you can hear it on her YouTube before you buy it! Check it out!
Fans of her first (and only) album will be pleased with the sound. She’s soft and heartbroken, but she’s learning about herself. It’s a tale of truth, that she’ll do her best, but as we all are human, we’re going to make mistakes.
I can’t wait for the new album!
Purchase the single on iTunes at midnight. (International folks, she says it’ll be available on iTunes in early 2014.)
