BIG news for fans of Neil Jackson. Neil has had an incredible year so far with fantastic guest starring roles on the hit drama series Person of Interest and Sleepy Hollow (both of which were amazing). If you loved seeing Neil appear as Abraham Van Brunt on the FOX supernatural drama as much as we did, then you’re in luck. Deadline has reported that the talented actor will not only be back, but he’ll be “recurring heavily” when the series returns with season 2.

Whoopi Goldberg was taken to a whole new world when she visited Aladdin on Broadway. The Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award winner was seen posing with James Monroe Iglehart backstage at the New Amsterdam Theatre. Whoopi called his performance “the meaning of sensational!” And she would be right. James has recently been awarded with a Tony nomination for his outstanding role in the Disney musical comedy.

World renowned Italian pop opera group IL VOLO has just announced their 2014 U.S. tour dates. The group, comprised of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble, will be touring North America throughout the month of June. Symphony orchestras will back the trio during the 15 city Summer tour. The tour kicks off on the West coast in California before concluding over on the East coast in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Disney’s successful Broadway streak seems to be untouchable as Aladdin on Broadway continues to captivate and delight audiences of all ages. Based on the beloved 1992 Disney film, Aladdin, the new Broadway musical comedy first began moving audiences back in February. Since then, a talented cast, music from the great Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice, and the thrilling story we all know and love has been making magic on the stage.
The show has been nominated for 5 Tony awards including Best Musical and Best Original Score. Another special treat for fans includes the previously cut song “Proud of Your Boy”, a track that did not make the final draft of the hit Disney film.
