“I think I had a mother once”
Nick and Adalind start their new life as parents in a new house. Meanwhile, a group of lost wesen boys ends up finding a family, one we might know something about.
Read on for our recap of Grimm 5×03, “Lost Boys.”
Nick has sold his house, and he’s ready to move out to a new place with Adalind and their son.
Their new house is somewhere no one knows. Outisde, it looks like a paint factory. Inside, there is plenty of security, Nick doesn’t want to risk his son and Adalind’s life.
Captain Renard receives a rather unexpected visit at the HQ. It’s Meisner. He tells Renard that the King is dead (he was pushed out of the helicopter by Diana), and that Diana is safe with friends. Viktor in now King.
Renard wants to see his daughter but Meisner says he doesn’t know where she is.
Nick, Hank and Wu have to work on a new case. A woman was found dead. She looks injured, with marks on her wrists and on her bare feet, as if she ran to escape from someone. Wu runs her prints and finds out her name is Wendy Henley, who’s in the system because she was missing since two years.
Rosalee receives the visit of two young boys at her spy shop who try to steal a medicine. She manages to catch one of the little thieves, who happens to be wesen. He says the medecine is for his little sister, and that he doesn’t have parents. Rosalee gives him the medecine, and the boy runs away.
Later that day, the boy comes back with other two kids and a girl, and together they kidnap Rosalee. Monroe is on the phone with her, and he hears everything. He runs back to the spy shop, but Rosalee is nowhere to be found. He calls Nick immediately to ask for his help.
Nick and Hank make a connection: the same truck that was used to kidnap Rosalee was also used to kidnap Wendy Henley.
Meanwhile, the kids bring Rosalee to their hidden refuge, telling her that from now on she is their mother, whether she likes it or not.
During the night though, she manages to escape while the boys are asleep. While she tries to run away, she falls into one of the traps set by the boys around their refuge.
Nick, Hank and Monroe arrive just in time. The kids are wesen and orphans who don’t want to go back to a shelter. They just want a mother, a family.
After the case is closed, the boys are taken to a peculiar kind of shelter, where the wesen Warden, named Hooke, asks them to show him what kind of wesen they are. He tells them he is offering them the chance to join others who are likle them, to be part of a new family, and he tells them to repeat after him: “Occultatum Libera”. (Remember episode 5×02? Nick and Hank hear that same sentence being pronounced by a wesen they were about to catch, before she kills herself).
The last scene of this episode shows us Meisner opening the holding cell we saw at the end of episode 5×02, and we finally see who has been kept inside it all this time: it’s Trubel.
