Get your party faces on, people. “Being Human” is turning up!
Last we left them, Aiden was confessing what he was to Kat and she proceeded to laugh in his face. It takes some convincing, and Kat tries to wrap her head around Aiden’s revelation but it just doesn’t sit well. As any normal human being would be, she’s afraid of him. So he leaves her to give her time to cool off.
Josh and Nora take a trip to visit new parents, Caroline and Andrew, and their werewolf baby April to check in and congratulate. They meet another wolf couple from a pack Andrew’s considering joining, but Josh knows all the dangers of being in a pack and tries to warn him against it. In a turn of events, Nora decides to throw the couple a belated baby shower. Aiden opts out, still feeling blue from his breakup with Kat.
Josh: “He’s immortal, you know. He could mope forever.”
And while he’s moping upstairs, Aiden’s two murdered ghost girls reappear to taunt him until Sally shows up and banishes them from the house. But guilt ridden Aiden can’t accept the king gesture. So he heads out for a walk where Kenny convinces him to join him for some blood bags to drown his sorrows.
As Nora and Josh are prepping at the last minute, a knock at the door brings Josh’s now sober little sis, Emily back in the picture. She’s fresh out of rehab, but a baby shower is no problem. Except…Andrew’s overpowering friend Mark comes armed with more people and a lot more booze. Andrew gives Josh a short lecture about there being safety in numbers and joining a pack means more protection for his family, but Josh is unsure after bitter memories of his first pack. As if all the wolves and booze weren’t enough of a party, Aiden and Kenny crash with horrific dance moves and loud shenanigans.
Emily is having a hard time keeping it together around all the alcohol, and Josh does try to make sure she’s okay but Sally can see through her front so she tries to help her by doing a spell that will allow her to see and hear her but it doesn’t seem to work and only thrusts her into another time loop.
Sally: “Whoaaa…Aiden Capone!”
That’s right. It’s the 20s, and as an added bonus, Henry is there! They’re luring two unsuspecting women to their deaths, which Sally tries to stop but to no avail. She does jump into a witness, trying to spare the old woman from an untimely death, but in effect only feels the lady’s life slip away as Aiden drinks her in.
Back in real time, Josh is a little leery of Aiden’s state of mind…
Josh: “How much blood have you had tonight?”
Aiden: “I don’t know, mom. A ton?”
In his drunken stupor, Aiden tells Kenny he’d like him to remove the memory of Kat from his mind, but Kenny’s got other priorities right now. Like a hot blonde werewolf named Astrid. Get it, Kenny. And he does, but not in the romantic sense. When the effects of Sally’s spell show through and Emily glimpses Kenny’s real face, chaos erupts and it’s wolves gone wild. They’re all skeptic of vampires as it is, so any excuse to start a fight…but it is just a misunderstanding. But, wolves will be wolves. And Aiden and Kenny will be vamps. Eventually, after laying the smackdown on the wolves, Aiden and Kenny flee from the scene.
Sally confesses what she did to Emily to Josh, but despite her good intentions Josh is too tired to be considerate when she keeps causing more damage. Sally offers to help use her magic for good to help Emily curb her cravings or forget about the night. But Josh just wants to call it a night. When he gets to bed with Nora, she offers her point of view on the idea of a pack and the sense of belonging and family that comes with it. But they already have a family with Aiden and Sally. Clearly, Josh isn’t gonna budge on the idea easily.
Aiden’s still pining over Kat, being a creeper and watching her through her window. Josh sees his sister off, too much trauma for her to stay as planned. Sally forgives Aiden for his reckless behavior in the past and present. (Did I mention he tried to hit on her whilst drunk?) Kenny returns with Astrid – his night clearly more successful than others’ – to see if Aiden still wants that memory swipe. Thankfully, he doesn’t, though he warns the new couple of the slack they’re not going to get cut from either species.
Josh seems to have finally come around as he joins Nora to shift on the full moon with the werewolf pack from the night before. Maybe this change will be good. Maybe…
