This week’s episode of Pretty Little Liars gave us so many people to be suspicious of that I’m surprised Paige is the only one with anxiety issues. Toby is still running around in his black hoody but now we have to worry about Byron too? And who could forget Mona?
Check out the biggest moments and our recap of tonight’s new episode of Pretty Little Liars: Mona-Mania.
Right off the bat I’m going to say that not much happened in tonight’s episode. I’ve heard a lot of things about next week’s episode being a big one so I’m going to say that tonight was more filler and a set up for that one.
Lost
Aria hid the pages from Ali’s diary in her shoes in her bedroom. Imagine her shock and surprise when she discovers they are missing. Right on cue, Byron comes in and acts like a creeper with a cryptic story about how she always hid her Halloween candy in her shoes and Mike never found it.
Immediately I think “Ugh, what a creeper.” Then I think “Well, that’s just too obvious and has to be a red herring right?
Wrong
Aria overhears Meredith fighting with Byron in the hall about catching him going through Aria’s bedroom. Then he grabs her arm like an abusive douche and Meredith unleashes some Emmy-worthy acting. This show has a habit of picking a new suspicious villain every half season only to have it amount to nothing by the finale. I gotta say though, Byron isn’t looking too good. After it’s revealed that Ella got drunk and slept through the night Ali went missing and Byron left to see Ali, dude’s not looking so good.
Cliche
And neither is Aria. Throughout the episode Aria complains that she’s queasy and not feeling well. She thinks she has the flu. The rest of the audience thinks she has a case of pregnancy.
Lucas
Lucas is terrified of Mona and the fact he was almost run over. He wants to leave school and be home schooled so he can protect himself. Too bad Hanna lets slip to Mona that he revealed this to her. Are Lucas’ days numbered? I mean, he tried to blow up Mona and got Meredith instead.
Getting Sloppy
Is Toby getting nervous? He’s creeping in the woods and slashes Paige’s tires when she’s with Emily. Why? Who knows. Then someone in a black hoody hurriedly buries the masks from Halloween in the forest. Mona never cashed in her hoody either. She’s following Byron. What are they up to?
