Sad news for fans of 666 Park Avenue. ABC has decided to shelve the rest of the episodes following the show’s cancellation. It was recently reported that the series, along with Last Resort were editing the final episodes so fans wouldn’t be left hanging but it looks like fans won’t be seeing these episodes starting next month. Instead, the network has decided to air extra episodes of Don’t Trust The B in Apartment 23 and Happy Endings.
Great news for ABC Family fans! The network has just renewed a handful of their hit shows including Switched at Birth, Bunheads, Baby Daddy, and Melissa & Joey. Unfortunately, the network chose to pass on renewing Jane By Design. I personally love all of these shows so I’m very happy with this news. Baby Daddy was a surprisingly hilarious sitcom for me and it’s no news how much I love Switched at Birth.
Be sure to tune in to Switched at Birth when it returns on September 3rd.
It’s hurting me to even type this out. If you were paying close attention to the preview at the end of tonight’s episode of Make It Or Break It, you’ll notice the season was not only cut significantly shorter, but ABC Family announced that the series finale will be in a few weeks. Not season, series. As in the end of the show forever. I’m having such a hard time processing this post because I’m not entirely sure what the hell is wrong with this network. I can’t fathom why they’re being so disrespectful to a show that has been consistent and fantastic for so long. A show that is about going to the Olympics. A show that would probably be ratings gold if they aired the rest of the season this Summer during the actual Olympics. I suppose they have a lot of faith in some show about ballet called Bunheads. It sure sounds like a real humdinger to me. I thought maybe I was hearing things until I went on twitter and noticed Holly Sorensen’s tweet that it was in fact true that the show was ending. She was very tactful about everything. If I were her, I’d be using a lot more colorful words.

Not only does this mean one of my favorite shows is ending before any kind of logical and proper resolution can be made, this also means I won’t get to hear Neil Jackson’s dreamy accent on my TV anymore. I’ll miss the girls too but, still. I swear ABC cancels a great show I like every season.
This show was so good. They are keeping The Secret Life though. A show that had an episode revolve around girls sitting around in their underwear complaining about the heat tonight. Yeah, that actually happened. Boobs over Gymnastics.
ABC Family. I don’t get you. What failure of a business person was in charge of this decision? Because it was a poor one. I mean, at least finish out the season and let the girls go to the Olympics. That was the whole point of the show. This season was such a breath of fresh air. It was completely retooled and it was great. I can only hope there is still some hope left when ABC Family’s new sitcoms inevitably fail.
ABC Family: Give this show the respect it deserves.
If you’re a fan of the show, please write in, tweet, email, harass the network into giving the show the proper send off it deserves. If Neil Jackson has to burst into their offices without a shirt on begging for some mercy and a TV movie at the Olympics, so be it. Let’s get these girls to London.
Bad news for Terra Nova fans. Netflix won’t be saving the show. The company had recently been in talks to save the series but a deal ultimately, could not be made. There’s still a slim chance that the show could be saved by another network but judging by Jason O’mara’s recent tweets, it looks like he’s throwing in the towel. This is so sad. I loved that show. I loved the cast too. Will you miss the show?
Whether it takes an army or the power of 50 Hydraulic Power Units I’m hoping somehow the show gets renewed.
It was just announced that FOX has reached a decision on the fate of Terra Nova. It’s not a good one. The network had delayed making a decision for months but finally today, news broke that they have decided to cancel the show. It is also being reported that the show is being shopped around to other networks. Is that a glimmer of hope? Can we still see the show on like Syfy or something?? Tweet, email, write and make your voice heard if you want to see Terra Nova find a new home!
Via TVLine:
Fox has pulled the plug on its pricey prehistoric drama Terra Nova after one moderately rated season, TVLine has learned.
The show is currently being shopped to other networks by Twentieth Television.
This makes me so sad. The show was a mystery and a nice program to watch with the family. It was a nice departure from the stale crime and medical dramas that seem to crowd every single network. The cast was lovely and we even got to interview Jason O’Mara last year. Here’s hoping the show is able to find a new home on another network.
