Fresh off of a fantastic day at Comic-Con, Psych is gearing up for the premiere of their 2 hour musical event as well as an even crazier eighth season.
If you thought it was too early to get a glimpse at the new season, you were wrong. A new sneak peek first look at season 8 has been released and along with a few “Suck It” quotes, it features Gus in a Gryffindor costume (presumably for the Harry Potter/London episode) and the return of the devious character of Pierre Despereaux played by Cary Elwes.

It’s that time of the year. If your favorite show hasn’t been renewed by now, the decision on whether or not to send it to the television graveyard is imminent. May has arrived and it’s about that time when networks decide to break a lot of hearts. CBS has, thankfully, already renewed a bunch of series, including some of our favorites. Still on the chopping block are CSI: NY and Vegas. When Vegas was first announced, I was sure it would be a hit. Featuring a cast like Dennis Quaid and Pop City Life favorite Jason O’Mara, how can you go wrong?
I was actually surprised when the show was moved to the dreaded Friday night time slot. The premise is interesting too. A period drama set in the 1960s, it’s like a western meets Boardwalk Empire in Las Vegas. This was, I thought, an easy win considering CBS’ audience.
What happened? While Vegas’ fate isn’t sealed yet, it certainly seems like a cancellation is inevitable. The only thing we can possibly think of as to why this show would fail is that Las Vegas is just too different now to relate to. If you visit the site where the film is reviewed, you will that those images on the TV are not of the Sin City we know. Back then residents wore cowboy hats and rode horses, now there’s a lot of barely there dresses and gambling going on. The show made us long for a more relevant look at one of our favorite cities. Las Vegas is filled with excitement and luck. If the rest of the viewers were like us, they were daydreaming about playing Russian Roulette and trying their hand at Blackjack as they watched. Thankfully though, even if Vegas does get the shaft, there are sites like this which will make us feel like we’re in our favorite casino gambling to our heart’s desire.
If watching Person of Interest has taught me anything it’s that the ability to access your computer when you need it the most can be extremely important. Any situation can pop up that could require someone to log on to their computer and get what they need. But what do you do if you need your computer and you’re not at home? Using and purchasing remote desktop software seems to be the solution to this problem. Fairly easy to set up, you’ll be able to access your computer no matter where you are in the world. A new addition to this market of products comes from Remote Utilities. It features a secure way to solve this problem and even connect to multiple computers.
Of course, we’re always looking for ways to save our money. That’s why when people hear there’s the option of a free home edition, they’re quick to sign up right off the bat. Did you know though that the commercial version, which yes you have to pay for, comes with a lot of features the free edition doesn’t have? To me, that’s worth the cost. Here you’ll be able to have multiple user accounts for a single host and the ability to keep your host settings protected.
That’s not all though. You’ll also have your own server and WinNT security. The most important feature the paid version offers is the option to reject remote connection. If you weren’t sold before, we have a feeling that will do the trick. Computers hold our whole lives. We input all our important details into these machines every day, from credit card numbers to our plans for the weekend. Are you willing to take the risk by missing out on all these features the commercial version has?

That sound is the sound of 12 year old me weeping over my broken heart. I’m kidding. This is great news! Actor Ryan Merriman is engaged! Our readers will probably recognize him most recently from his appearances on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars as the creepy and milk loving Ian.
Ryan not only celebrated his 30th birthday yesterday but can now celebrate the fact that he is off the market. He proposed to his girlfriend in New Zealand on New Years Eve. The couple went to the top of SkyCity for the holiday where Ryan got down on one knee. Ryan reveals that immediately after he popped the question, a fireworks display lit up the sky. Sounds like a picturesque scene straight out of a movie! Ryan also says he’ll be leaving all the details up to his future wife so that her day is as special as she is.
Get the dress, pick a cake, hire a photographer or even better; rent photo booth in fort lauderdale is a great alternative. Described as a miniature photography studio for guests, these professional photos can make a wedding day even better. And without the added worry or stress that dark and grainy photos bring to the table. Sounds like a great wedding in the making. Here’s to the happy couple!
You can catch Ryan in the new movie 42 out in theaters tomorrow!
OK, Whose Line fans. Time to start freaking out. We may no longer be able to view reruns of the original U.S. version of Whose Line is it Anyway on TV, but we can now look forward to the revival of one of the best comedy shows ever! The return of Whose Line is it Anyway is headed to The CW this summer! The new series will feature the return of veterans Colin Mochrie, Wayne Brady, and Ryan Stiles. Unfortunately, Drew Carey and his hilarious giggle will not be back this time around to host the show. Aisha Tyler will instead be taking the job.
Starting June 16 with an hour-long premiere, the series will continue to air Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
Are you excited for the return of this amazing show?
