Tonight CBS airs the 3rd episode of Under the Dome. The episode needs to have a good ratings after last week’s terrible result. The show lost about 15% of audience in just a week, quite surprising for a show produced by Stephen King & Stephen Spielberg.

Only one week left before the season 2 premiere of Aaron Sorkin’s big show The Newsroom. The acclaimed series will be back for 9 episodes this summer. Sorkin gave some spoilers about the stories of this season which includes: the Tea Party, Trayvon Martin, drones, Occupy Wall Street, The Affordable Care Act and of course the National election including the primaries. 14 years after the shooting of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Peter Jackson’s is finishing the filming of The Hobbit: There and Back Again – the 3rd part of the Hobbit Trilogy.
From the set, Jackson shares his last moments with some important actors of the cast starting with Ian McKellen (Gandalf) and Orlando Bloom (Legolas).

Last night, The Academy of Science Fiction, Horror & Fantasy Films was awarding the best in TV and film at the annual Saturn Awards. This year, Marvel’s The Avengers, The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad led the ceremony with the Avengers receiving 4 awards including the top 3: best-science fiction film, best supporting actor and best director. Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead received respectively 2 awards. The ceremony dedicated to Richard Matheson also awarded him posthumously with the Visionary Award.

Tonight is the 39th Saturn Awards ceremony which is celebrating the science-fiction fantasy and horror universe on TV and cinema. This year’s ceremony is dedicated to the Science-fiction writer Richard Matheson who died at 87years old.
The 2013 ceremony awarding shows from 2012 is led by Fringe which earns 6 nominations. On its side Dexter is right behind with 5 nominations followed by Breaking Bad, Leverage, Falling Skies and Revolution with 4 nominations for each of them.
