Catfish: The TV Show is back for what is looking to be the most shocking season yet. This week, Nev and Max are asked to help out Antwane. It’s a Catfish intervention! And it is promising to be the most “bizarre” reveal yet.
Catfish: Antwane and Tony recap:
This week, we’re heading to Cincinnati. Carmen is concerned about her cousin Antwane. He’s in love with Tony, a man he met on one of those late night “hot singles in your area” hotlines. The two of them have never met but he’s the cheese to Antwane’s macaroni.
This episode is not sponsored by Kraft. #cheeseandmacaroni

Antwane has never seen a picture of Tony, doesn’t know his last name, and Tony is the only one who can call him. I hope Tony is all Antwane has imagined him to be because Antwane’s hair is Brazilian and he’s fabulous.
The Search
This is a Catfish first. It is a 3 year relationship that has absolutely nothing to do with the internet.
Max points out that this investigation could have taken place in 1990, because all they have to go on is a disconnected phone number. The number search leads them to a registered number with a relative named Anthony. Could this be Tony?
They google his name and come up with a mugshot. Could the private number mean that Tony is calling Antwane from prison? That would definitely be a Catfish first. Antwane is crushed and a little scared that the man of his dreams could be an angry guy in prison. It’s time to find out.
The Meet Up
They decide to just show up at the registered addresses listed on Spokeo and hope for the best. Is this brave or stupid?
Antwane thinks this is crazy but Nev says “It’s not that crazy!” Antwane is concerned a guy with a gun will appear. There’s no luck with the first address and we move on to the next.
The next house has a No Trespassing sign. Nev decides to hop the fence and try his luck at the door. A girl says her dad’s last name is a match and the guys wonder if she’s hiding something.
The final address is the spookiest. It’s looks haunted and abandoned. This episode is a trip. I feel like I’m watching Ghost Hunters. It doesn’t even have windows!
Max is cold and he wants to leave. The snow matches his hair.
Then, out of nowhere Carmen exclaims I’M TONY. Wait, what the hell? Did I mention that came out of nowhere? She was not happy the cameras were about the leave.
Apparently, this is revenge because Antwane called her a “Fat ass Kelly Price.” I just. What is happening.
Carmen’s deep voice was Tony all along. Max looks both impressed, confused, and amused. But he is not happy.
“You wasted our time to get back at your cousin for saying something about you 3 years ago. That’s lame.”
She could have been on any reality show. She chose Max and Nev. They should be honored to feature Antwane and Tony!
“I’m so glad you got to be on Catfish and everyone will love you because you’re the Queen of Catfish.” -Nev
“This is so lame. I’m cold.” -Max

They’re outta there. And Carmen needs a ride home.
Nev and Max go back for the “conclusion” and Nev means business. He’s wearing glasses. Carmen thinks that “they ain’t shit” and It gets so heated a producer forces Max and Nev outside. I’m really curious what was edited out of the episode that the producers felt was sabotaging the show.
Nev really lost his shit in that scene. That was a very tame edit of what went down. #Catfish

Felt really bad for Antwane. He didn't even want to be on TV. He's a really sweet guy. With some amazing lines and great hair. #Catfish
