If you are ready for True Blood to take your heart and stomp all over it until you weep as hard and bloody as a vampire, then you’re ready for this episode.
Here is our recap of tonight’s new episode of True Blood: “Don’t You Feel Me?”
Recap:
We pick up right where we left off last week. Sookie is still screaming under the lake and I can literally feel every True Blood fan on the East cost holding their breath, awaiting the death we know is happening in the episode. No one wants Lafayette to go. Thankfully, he doesn’t. Not yet anyways. Warlow appears to save Sookie and blast Mr. Stackhouse up outta there. Sookie hides out from Billith in Faery Land with Warlow and Lafayette spends the rest of the episode high, with a glue gun.
And now on to Pam and Eric. Perhaps one of the biggest fears tonight is that Pam or Eric will meet the true death and be the rumored “major death” of the season. Pam is not happy that Eric made another vampire. They rise into the air, stakes in hand, ready to fight. Instead, they manipulate a way to kill the guards and piss off Sarah and the Governor. For now, Eric and Pam are safe.
Sarah is just awful this episode. To think she used to be likeable. Upon learning that Jason has joined the Anti-Vampire police or whatever they are, she decides it’s time to get craftier than Lafayette with a glue gun. Sarah puts Jessica in a room with a stranger vampire and tries to force them to have sex. Vampire rape study if you will. It’s disgusting and sad and James refuses to do it, getting physically hurt every time he does. Jason’s face as he watches is making me sad.
Speaking of things that are awful and horrible, how about some werewolves? It hurts me that Sam has been dragged down with this awful werewolf storyline that literally no one watching this show cares about. If the show does indeed downsize next year, I hope this will be the plot that goes. Blah blah, Alcide growls, Sam gives Emma back to her grandmother, Alcide growls some more, there’s Funyons, Sam confronts Alcide and Alcide tells him to pretend to be dead and leave town. He owns a bar, dude. How long do you think that’s gonna last? Just buy leashes for your trashy pack and call it a day.
Bill tries to commune with Lillith in an attempt to save his friends. SHOCKER. She’s wearing clothes. She refuses to help him so Bill takes matters into his own hands. He drinks what’s left of Warlow’s blood and walks in the sun. He takes a stroll to see the governor and rips off his head. Good. He was a dbag.
Willa is still inside and she’s trying to escape with Eric and Nora. Nora has been infected with “Hep V” and is dying. While trying to get her to safety, Eric discovers that the new batch of Tru Blood for sale has all been infected in an attempt to further the extinction of vampires.
Over in Bellfleur news, Andy’s daughter asks if he can give her a proper name. It’s a sweet scene but this good mood of mine is not going to last. Terry is walking around saying his goodbyes. He visits Lafayette and gives him his safety deposit box key. Alarmed, Laffy alerts Arlene who can sense that Terry wants to kill himself. Holly suggests getting a vampire to glamour Terry to forget all the pain he’s going through.
Why didn’t they think of this years ago? Ugh. The glamouring works and Terry is happy as a clam. He’s whistling and without a care in the world as he takes the trash outside. And then he gets shot. IN THE NECK. His buddy must have been waiting for the perfect time.
Arlene discovers Terry outside and holds him in her arms while singing a lullaby. Here come the tears. What about Felix?
I always loved Terry and do not think his character needed to be destroyed the way it was. Last season with that smoke monster was horrible and an insult to him. It was great giving him something to do but he was fine as a background character hanging out with his armadillo. Yes, Terry died this episode but in no way do I believe that is the major “death” of the season.
The episode ends with what will probably be the most remembered scene of the night. Sookie has Warlow tied up and decides now would be a great time to strip off her clothes and have sex with him. Their faery light glows and not one viewer blames her at all.
Funniest Quotes of the Night:
Sarah to Steve: You were always a p*ssy.
Andy: Christ, fandango!
Nothing else is funny at this point because Terry :(.
