What do you do when you kill the hero, your boss, and King Richard’s bestie? How about when your weapons are made of chocolate? Set your DVRs. The epic battle between the three armies is fast approaching and we’re not ready.
Read on for our favorite moments from Galavant 2×07 and Galavant 2×08.
1. Galavant is dead.
For reals! For a little while, anyway. The gang seeks the help of Neo of Sporin, a healer who can only help Galavant return if he has the beard hair of a middle-aged man who has never been touched by a woman. And there’s the unicorn! The King’s Beard can heal!
What follows is a musical number from guest star Reece Shearsmith that is laugh-out-loud spectacular.
Considering everything from anti-depressants to gas, Neo ponders just how long Galavant has left and what can be done.
You’re helping. Try not to stab me.
Eddie Marsan guest stars as Death to welcome Galavant to the other side. And Galavant greets him and knees him to return to fight for his one true love.
2. Gareth is in love…
…with the idea of the catfight he’ss waited two seasons for between Queen Madalena and Princess Isabella. Madalena is an emotional roller coaster. If she’s not kicking Gareth in the face at the idea of a wedding, she’s willing to sacrifice a baby to sell her soul to the dark arts. The finale is going to be interesting for her.
3. Three armies are prepared to fight.
Three armies are prepared to fight in the final epic battle that is taking place Sunday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. ET, so set your DVRs!
Galavant is coming with a zombie army and I kind of feel like he should have kept Nick Frost around for that one. Princess Isabella is screwed because her weapons are made of chocolate. Gareth will probably slay them all and then eat them for breakfast. HOWEVER, Sid has gone off on his own to try and redeem himself for killing his best friend.
4. King Richard did the deed behind a tree.
But not before bursting into a Grease-tacular musical number about Roberta. Sadly, Roberta can’t stand the idea of her man being killed in battle and the two of them part ways. Or at least until next week.
Will Richard bring them back together and save the day? Where’s the chef? How will Sid be able to make up for the fact he threw a sword into his friend’s chest? Are you setting your DVR?
Tune in for the Galavant season finale and the epic battle Sunday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. ET, and set your DVRs to give the show all the numbers!
