Are you ready for some backstory? King Richard loves backstory. Galavant returns to pit the giants against the dwarves, deliver some amazing guest stars (Nick Frost, Sheridan Smith), and introduce us to Papa Galavant and Tad Cooper.
Read on for our best moments from Galavant 2×05 “Giants Vs. Dwarves” and Galavant 2×06 “About Last Knight.”
You too will be wondering why this is one of the most heavily censored and edited episodes ABC has given us. Spoiler alert: We will not be hearing the song “Your Mother is A Whore” tonight.
1. King Richard’s new BFF
Meet Tad Cooper.
King Richard has traded the Jewel of Valencia for his very own fire-breathing dragon! Sort of. Clap your hands if you believe in him or you too will be forced to eat a bunch of hobbits.
2. Isabella is ready to kick some ass.
In one of the more tiring plotlines this season, Isabella’s mind control crown is finally destroyed and now she has a wedding planner to destroy. Her family is finally supporting her in the idea that this gross incestuous wedding to her 11-year-old cousin should probably not be happening. He’s pretty cool with it – he just wants her bra to show his friends.
3. Papa, can you hear me?
Facing certain death and starvation, our trio make a pit stop at the home of Daddy Galavant and discover times have changed since he was an absentee father. Now he’s running a training school for at-risk youth and he’s really into tapestries and beards.
4. OMG it’s Nick Frost
Sheridan Smith guest stars as the spunky, rocker, bisexual Princess Jubilee, while Nick Frost turns up as a pirate Almost-Maybe-Giant who is really ready to kick some dwarf ass. Only they’re all the same height. It’s all in your perception, mate.
5. Sid’s mommmment in the sunnnn
Tomorrow on #Galavant, Sid’s latest number is downright miserable(s). https://t.co/HIXCKYPBzm

In this latest episode from Les Miz Galavant, Sid finally gets the solo he’s been waiting for while trying to round up an army to take over the castle. It doesn’t go quite as planned…
…Because he KILLS Galavant!!!!
I mean, probably not. But who the hell THROWS A SWORD?!
What did you think of Galavant 2×05 and Galavant 2×06? Were you shocked when Sid plunged a sword into Galavant’s abs? Do you believe in Tad Cooper?
Post your thoughts below, and don’t forget to tune in to Galavant every Sunday night on ABC.
