Thank you for talking with us again! This is going to be a huge year for you with so many great projects coming up. How excited are you for what’s ahead?
Jedidiah Goodacre: I worked on a lot of fun projects last year and yes I am extremely excited for everyone to have fun watching them. I am also very excited for future projects, I love working.
You’ll be starring as Chad Charming in one of the most highly anticipated Disney Channel movies in quite some time — Descendants. Did you feel any pressure taking the high profile role or was that something that excited you about it?
Ha! No, no pressure at all, I was just excited to be on the team and playing the game. I didn’t really know anything about it before the audition process, then I met Kenny Ortega and I knew I was in for something cool.
When we last spoke, you told us to “expect big things” from Disney’s Descendants. With the trailer premiering this weekend, and an extremely talented cast and crew supporting it, how do you think viewers will react to the premiere?
I hope people become even more excited to see the movie. I think we’ll probably get a glimpse into the story and the fun action on screen, but just a glimpse.
You spoke highly of the song and dance numbers that were filmed. What do you enjoy most about taking on projects with musical elements?
The thing I love most about working on musical projects is how much fun singers and dancers like to have and how they are not shy about much at all. They are who they are and they love it.
Your athletic background came in handy when it came to the intense choreography you needed to learn. What was that experience and learning process like for you?
Learning choreography was a lot harder than I had anticipated. I started with no experience and very bad timing. But the amazing team of choreographers were there with me day in and day out to make sure I stayed motivated and was able to learn to love it.
What are you most excited for people to see when the movie premieres?
I am most excited for people to see the children of many famous Disney characters come to life. I am sure there are a lot of people out there, young and old, who sometimes daydream about living in a world like this.
As a big Disney fan yourself, you must have been thrilled to star in another Disney film. What can you tell us about your role and what attracted you to it in Disney’s “Tomorrowland”?
I can’t tell you much about Tomorrowland except that it was extremely high-flying fun. I have a minor role, but I had a lot of great experiences working on this Disney film.
How does it feel to say that you have worked alongside George Clooney? That’s certainly something to cross off the bucket list.
HA! I can’t quite cross ‘working alongside George Clooney’ off the list yet, since I didn’t work closely with him at all. I was really hoping I could show him some basketball moves. But the people I did get to work with closely like Britt Robertson and Brad Bird were really amazing to learn from.
Have you ever been to Tomorrowland at the Disney Parks? It sounds like a great way to celebrate what is shaping up to be a big year for you.
No, I have never been to the Tomorrowland theme park at Disney Parks, but there is lots of time left this year so who knows, you may see me there!
