“One could have called that shape a woman or a boy: for it seemed neither and seemed both”.
What is Juliette going to do, now that she has revealed to Nick her Hexenbiest identity? Moreover, something is happening to Captain Renard…
Read on for our recap of the new Grimm episode, “Double Date”.
Renard is having nightmares where he relives over and over again the moment when he was shot. But when he wakes up he realizes that the gunshots’ scars are bleeding.
He decides to go see a doctor, but he finds everything is fine, so he goes to talk to Rosalee and Monroe about it. He asks Rosalee to give him his mother’s book, the one Adalind used to turn into Juliette and seduce Nick, but it appears to be shut. Renard’s mother opened it with her blood, and only Hexenbiest’s blood can open that book.
Juliette asks for his help. She doesn’t want to live with Nick for the moment, so she needs a place to stay. He asks her to help him open the book, in exchange for a place to stay.
Nick is called to investigate with Wu and Hank our case of the week. A man, Cody Carson, was found dead in the street, and it looks like it was an acid attack of some sort. He was in Portland for business. The substance that burned his face and killed him is a skin-eating bacteria. Talking about the case with Renard, he thinks this could be wesen.
Wu manages to locate Cody’s phone. It is inside a condo near the street where he was found dead. The condo is rented out to a woman. Inside, it appears whoever lived in the condo is now gone. Wu finds Cody’s phone. Hank finds out that the woman who was supposed to live in the condo gave a false name to the owner. Wu finds some interesting fingerprints, belonging to a man, Linus, with records as conman. Nick, Hank and Wu think that Cody might have fallen into a trap set by Linus and the woman with the fake ID. They also think Linus could be wesen.
Hank finds out something interesting in Nick’s trailer. There’s a wesen called Huntha Lami Muuaji, some kind of a wormy wesen, and it secrets the same substance that killed Cody. Huntha Lami Muuaji always travel in pair, man and woman. Their wesen side is visible to all.
Nick and Hank decide to set a trap for these two wesen, and they ask Monroe to be part of it. The woman in fact, usually attracts a lonely man in a bar, brings him home, and that’s when the other wesen shows up, claiming to be her husband. The poor guys usually try to run away leaving behind their money, in exchange for not being hurt by the husband. With Cody though, the situation got out of hand.
The plan with Monroe seems to work, but we find out that there’s not man and woman, just one wesen Huntha Lami Muuaji that can turn into man and woman.
Nick and Hank finally manage to catch the Huntha Lami Muuaji, and thanks to Rosalee they manage to keep him as Linus, and he will never be able to turn into a woman again.
Adalind is still obviously upset, after she found out to be pregnant with Nick’s baby. She decides she has to “find” another father for the baby, meaning she has to find a man…
