“And glory like the phoenix
midst her fires,
Exhales her odours, blazes,
and expires.”
Adalind and Juliette are finally face to face, or better said, Hexenbiest to Hexenbiest…
Read on for our recap of the new Grimm episode, “Trial by Fire”.
Nick and Hank investigate the death of a young couple, killed by a fire’s explosion at their workplace.
It immediately appears strange how the fire moved, as if it had a mind of its own, following a certain direction.
Nick and Hank first suspect of the owner of the place that burned. He had filed for bankruptcy and then upgraded a policy for 5 million dollars.
They also follow a new lead, a former cop, now in prison (he was arrested by Nick during an old case, and he is wesen), had investigated a very similiar case. He says he saw the man responsible of the fires, but he doesn’t know his name. Nick gets him out of prison, so that he can help with the case. He says that the man they’re looking for is wesen too, and he is literally on fire when he turns into a wesen. He is an Excandesco, as Nick and Wu find out, thought to be the basis for the Phoenix. Unfortunately, there’s nothing in Nick’s books that tell them how to stop this wesen.
We find out that the Excandesco was hired by the owner’s son, he wanted the policy’s money.
Thanks to Monroe and Rosalee’s help, Nick, Hank and the former cop manage to stop the Excandesco, who explodes from spontaneous combustion.
The man Renard had hired to follow Nick’s mother tracks, is actually working for Prince Viktor.
Finally Adalind confronts Juliette. She knows she helped Nick when he gave Diana to his mother, but Juliette says that’s the best place for her.
Adalind provokes Juliette, and soon things get out of control, when the two take the confrontation to an Hexenbiest level.
Adalind realizes that Juliette is too strong for her, so she runs away.
Nick and Juliette’s house is a total mess, and you can imagine Nick’s reaction.
Juliette tells him that Adalind paid her a visit, and finally, she shows him her Hexenbiest side…
