This was definitely one of the hottest moments at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. Fans and viewers at home and in the audience got a treat when Joe Manganiello came out on stage wearing his fireman costume from Magic Mike..and not much else. He’s so beautiful that this outfit is perfect for him. Shirts should never be necessary when it comes to him. All we need is a single jacket fire hose and a dalmatian to complete the look. I don’t think Elizabeth Banks would mind if he rescued her from a fire.
We are so excited for the new season of The Glee Project! Probably not half as excited as these kids are when none other than Lea Michele walks in to be their mentor for the week. She has some kind words to one of the girls (who is already becoming one of my favorites) and it’s really sweet. Not so sweet? The kids are shocked to learn that Ryan Murphy will only be choosing one winner this year instead of four. That means the competition is going to heat up fast! The Glee Project: Season 2 will begin June 5th at 10pm on Oxygen.
Check out this first look at Lea Michele mentoring the group of kids:
Are you ready for a new season of Jersey Shore like you’ve never seen it before? The Situation sober? Snooki pregnant and seemingly unable to party? It seems like MTV will have to pull out all the stops to make this new season of The Jersey Shore interesting. But then again, they needed to do that anyway. How many times can we watch them get drunk and hook up?
The Situation is fresh out of rehab (and has been bulking up judging from these pictures. does syntheroid work? ) so at least Snooki will have someone else to be sober with. Rumor has it she won’t even be staying in the Shore House this time around. And shocker. It looks like Ron and Sam are back together.
Will you be watching the new season?
The stars gathered for another night in MTV history tonight for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. The event was hosted by Russell Brand and seemed relatively low-key when you think about past award shows on the network. Then again, it might just be the VMA’s that deliver the shocking moments and give the censors something to think about.

What did you think of the show tonight? It seemed a lot of the jokes were a bit forced and awkward and just..not funny. I miss the moments when Best Kiss was accompanied by an epic moment everyone was talking about the next day. Or really, any moment people would be talking about the next day. Remember Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling? Amazing. Russell Brand seemed nice enough but I was more captivated by the cold looks he was receiving by random people in the audience for his jokes. Not even laboratory ovens or a roaring fire could have warmed up that one highly unamused girl in the audience.
What are your favorite wins of the night? Was anyone robbed? Do you have a favorite moment from a past show? Post your thoughts below!
That sound you hear is the sound of SNL fans across the globe sobbing while reading news that the King of Digital Shorts, Andy Samberg, will not be returning to Saturday Night Live next season. We’re going to miss him so much! Why didn’t he get a big send off like Kristen Wiig did in the season finale?
Read what he has to say about his future on the show here:
Via NYTimes:
In one of his last appearances on the season finale of “Saturday Night Live,” a rapping Andy Samberg traded a rhyme with Chris Parnell that seemed loaded with underlying meaning: “On these New York streets I hone my fake rap penmanship / That’s how it began, and that’s how I’m-a finish it.”
This lyric from “Lazy Sunday 2″ was not only a bookend to the hit series of digital shorts that Mr. Samberg helped pioneer during his seven-season career on “S.N.L.”; it was also, as many had suspected, his farewell to that NBC late-night sketch series.
On Friday, Mr. Samberg confirmed that he will not be returning as a cast member on the next season of “Saturday Night Live.”
“It’s an incredibly emotional and strange moment in my life,” Mr. Samberg said Friday in a telephone interview. “Obviously it’s not a huge shock, but I did officially decide not to come back.”
Leaving the show was “one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made,” said Mr. Samberg, who added that he had come to this conclusion with some counsel from Kristen Wiig, an “S.N.L.” veteran who exited the show with a bittersweet Rolling Stones sing-along at the end of the season.
“She kept saying it just feels like it’s her time,” Mr. Samberg said. “I connect with that. Something about it just feels like it’s the moment. My contract’s up and I did so much more than I ever thought I would ever even do.”
Mr. Samberg left open the possibility that he and his Lonely Island partners might still contribute occasional shorts or other works to future “S.N.L.” episodes. “That’s the kind of thing that I really do hope happens,” he said.
With a coming schedule of roles in summer movies like “That’s My Boy” and “Celeste and Jesse Forever,” Mr. Samberg said he looked forward to dodging the now-inevitable questions about when he might return to “Saturday Night Live” as a host.
“Well, hopefully things will work out well enough that they’ll want me,” he said.
We hope he does decide to come back in the future. Where else will we see 90’s R&B songs with him and Justin Timberlake? Or even Michael Bolton?
