Read on for our exclusive interview with Lynda Boyd below:
Can you share a little about what originally inspired you to pursue acting as a career?
I had been in dance classes and performances since I was 5 years old. It seemed like the logical direction to go so I auditioned for a college-level acting school.
Your hit Netflix series Virgin River recently returned for the third season. It sounds like the upcoming episodes are full of nonstop drama. What can you tease about what viewers can look forward to from the new episodes?
Season three is full of twists and surprises and drama. I can’t give anything away in case people haven’t watched all 10 episodes!
More specifically, what is on the horizon for your character, Lilly? What are you most excited for the viewers to see?
I have had the great fortune of playing Lilly in all three seasons. I was so happy to have such a big arc this time around.
What would you say originally attracted you to the role of Lilly?
I auditioned for the role of Connie initially but was cast as Lilly!
Would you say you and her are alike at all?
I would say that we are not alike at all. Lilly is quiet and reserved, whereas I live out loud.
How has the experience been working alongside the cast and crew?
I have worked with most of the main characters before, so the ensemble feel was a joy.
Moving forward, if Virgin River were to return for more episodes, what would you love to see or experience in future seasons?
Have you seen season three, specifically episode 8? That’s where you’ll find your answer to this question!
Thank you so much to Lynda Boyd for taking the time to answer some questions for us!
