Great news! CBS has renewed a whopping 14 series for the 2013-2014 season. We’re thrilled to report that both Person of Interest and Hawaii Five-0 have received early renewals. The Good Wife, The Mentalist, NCIS: Los Angeles, Blue Bloods, Elementary, 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly, The Amazing Race, Survivor, Undercover Boss, 60 Minutes, and 48 Hours join those two of the list of shows renewed so far. Things are unfortunately not looking good for Vegas and CSI: NY. Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, NCIS and CSI have all already been renewed and it’s only a matter of time before Two and a Half Men joins them.
Was your favorite saved for another season?
Michael Emerson fans! This is not a drill! The talented actor is officially on Facebook! Even better than that? He just launched his new official website as well. Talk about giving the people what they want. How long before you’re on Twitter Mr. Emerson? We can’t wait to fangirl over what you’re eating for lunch and cute pictures of your dog. We’re super excited for any future updates from Michael and can’t wait to see what else is in store.
If you didn’t already know, and you should, Michael currently stars in one of the best dramas on television right now: Person of Interest. It airs Thursday nights on CBS so be sure to check that out!
Do you want to see Michael on Twitter?
I am loving Michael’s new website. It’s so sleek and fancy. I wish I could redo this one as well. I’d need a good graphic design company because I don’t know the first thing about HTML or layouts. This site is literally perfect for any fan of the Person of Interest star. What’s so great about it is that you can tell whoever they hired to increase his media presence really took the time to put together custom infographics. With a photo and video section, fans will always be updated on his latest happenings. So many times celebrities get these different sites but it loses any kind of personal touch. This clearly won’t be the case, thanks to his contact page. All we need now is some of kind of online store where fans can buy merchandise featuring Emerson. Calendars. T-Shirts. Mugs. You name it, we want it. With the help of a great branding agency, these items would be a must have for all fans. To the powers that be, make this happen.
“All In” – When an elderly gambler’s number comes up, Reese and Finch head to Atlantic City to delve beneath the surface of their POI’s seemingly ordinary life for answers. In New York, Carter’s crusade to clear a fellow detective’s name brings her perilously close to discovering the remaining HR faction within the department, on PERSON OF INTEREST, Thursday, March 14 (9:01 – 10:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The boys are headed to Atlantic City in the new episode of Person of Interest: “All In.” Check out the promo for the episode here.

The writers have definitely upped their game this season. They really have. Any episode that starts off with Ken Leung (Leon) handcuffed to a bed is a good one in my book. The fact that John and Bear waltz right in makes it better. They keep killing off some of the good guys and yet the silver haired evil and dirty cop remains. I can’t wait for him to kick it.
The episode takes place in Atlantic City this week. The new number is a seemingly harmless old man with a gambling addiction. He’s in a huge amount of debt, owing hundreds of thousands of dollars. Finch can’t understand why someone who is so good with cards is losing so badly.
Lou is actually part of a much bigger money laundering scheme at the casino that uses elderly people as pawns and asks them to lose on purpose. After failing to get him and hide him out of town, John and Finch find Lou back inside the casino attempting to win all of his money back. With the help of the bad ass duo, Lou is able to win back over 20 million dollars.
We loved this episode. Being based out of the Tri-State area, Atlantic City has come to be an annual vacation destination for us, so it was cool seeing familiar aspects in one of our favorite shows. Did you love “All In” as much as we did?
Just a head’s up Pop City Life readers: if you watched this episode and came away with the urge to gamble in some games like we did, we suggest you head over here to test your luck online.
This episode of Person of Interest was the best in a long time. I loved it. There was something different about it tonight. I felt myself literally inching further toward the edge of my seat the entire time. An episode with a mixture of a murder mystery dinner and a game of Clue, the hunt for a serial killer has never been more intense. And don’t get me started on that ending. Even if you saw it coming, and most of us probably did, the acting from everyone involved was fantastic. We saw a new side of Finch tonight and I’m sure the gifs from this episode will be glorious.
This episode was not one to be missed.
Recap:
The boys find themselves stranded with a group of questionable people during a huge storm that’s evacuated the area. You would think that would be enough to worry about but the Machine has a bit of a cold. After three days of radio silence it spits out six numbers all at once. Different identities from around the country.
These are the identities of the victims of a crazed serial killer. He relocates after each victim and takes on their identity. The better news? The boys, the FBI agent tracking the guy, and the small group of questionable people are all stranded together. And one of them is the killer.
The episode continues on and I feel like I’m watching a horror/suspense thriller. And it’s awesome.
So who’s the bad guy?
Well, it’s not the mom from Freaks and Geeks. And it’s not the dad from The Wonder Years. It’s the cute FBI agent. And he’s stolen Finch’s glasses. What a douche!
This scene between the killer and Finch is probably one of my favorite scenes throughout the series. It’s just that good. Two great actors playing off of each other is a recipe for success in my opinion. Well done Mr. Emerson. Well done.
And Finch? What about him trapped with the killer? What about him? What. About. Him.
Oh. The LOST flashbacks are killing me softly. Thank you Tumblr:

He’s fine. Carter saved his ass while John is playing with marijuana on a deck somewhere.

I am very intrigued about this upcoming new episode of Person of Interest. Sarah Shahi guest stars and she herself describes her role as “Reese’s equal.” From that I gather that she’s a gorgeous bad ass. And from what I’ve already seen from the episode, that sounds about right. The episode is a big one. Jonathan Nolan himself directed it.
Check out what else Sarah had to say about the episode, airing this Thursday on CBS.
Spoilers include a sneak peek clip from the episode titled “Relevance.”
Via TVLine:
TVLINE | The “James Bond/Sarah Connor” thing – is that how they pitched the role to you?
It was — and also as, you know, kind of “the female 007.” This character was an ultimate bad-ass, which is something I’ve never really had the chance to play yet always fantasized about doing. She’s a superhero in this world, and almost Reese’s equal in some way, too.
TVLINE | What is Shaw up to when we first meet her?
Well, there’s not much I can tell you. But I will tell you what I can. From first glance, she seems like just any other woman — and then you look a little deeper and there’s something very kind of flawed about her. Something that’s a little broken and highly dangerous. She’s a soldier — I can tell you that. And I can tell you that she is in the most covert of operations, part of a very secret paramilitary organization. Beyond that, I don’t know what else I can say.
TVLINE | What does she make of Reese and Finch’s interest in her?
I can’t tell you that because I would have to reveal a plot point. You’re being sneaky. You’re trying! And you can keep trying. I can promise you that it is a fantastic episode, and I’ll tell you this: From the minute the episode starts, it just goes. And it does not let up until the last second. It’s very intense.
TVLINE | Is that why Jonah himself directed this episode? Because it’s that high-octane?
Possibly. He wrote the episode, so I know this character meant a lot to him and I think he wanted to be very hands-on. I couldn’t imagine him handing this episode over to somebody else because Shaw is his baby in so many ways.
TVLINE | You mentioned Shaw being Reese’s equal. What would the dynamic between the two of them be, were they to come face to face? Is it a mutual admiration society?
Here — you know what Reese and Finch do, and I can tell you that what Shaw does is track and eliminate terrorists before they have a chance to act. I will tell you that, and then you can make of that what you will in terms of what her relationship with Reese and Finch is going to be, since in some ways she parallels a bit of what they do, in a very different way.
I can’t wait to see what she brings to the show. Are you looking forward to this episode?
