We recently had the chance to chat with Tara Reid and director Anthony Ferrante about the upcoming new SyFy Original Movie Sharknado. The movie also stars Cassie Scerbo (you guys will recognize her from her work on ABC Family’s great series Make It Or Break It), Ian Ziering, and John Heard.
Sharknado is set to premiere Thursday, July 11 on Syfy (9-11 p.m. ET).

It was just announced that Justin Marks will be penning the new adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book. The Disney animated version was made famous in 1967 and followed the character of Mowgli, based on the short stories published back in 1894. There have already been several adaptations of The Jungle Book released already, why is another one being produced? Are all of these reboots really necessary? Can’t we get some original ideas from the studios?
Is the Lone Ranger the proof that Johnny Depp needs to stop working with Disney? According to the result of the Lone Ranger it seems that yes, maybe.
Announced as one of the blockbusters of this summer, the latest Disney movie seems to stumble at the box office. During its opening weekend, it just earned $29.4 million while in a week; it only earned $48.9 million in North America. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney could face a $150 million loss. Not a situation the studio had imagined as the Lone ranger was supposed to be one the latest high-profile movie of this summer.

The 2013 Teen Choice Awards have been announced and nominations are starting to be released. The “second wave” of nominations have been announced and they contain some of our faves. Fans can begin voting online at TeenChoiceAwards.com immediately. Some of the nominations include Choice Breakout TV and Movie Star and Choice Villains. The second wave of nominations include recognition for talent from a variety of favorites such as ABC Family’s The Fosters, Pretty Little Liars, and Baby Daddy, and movies Pitch Perfect and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
The two hour event will air live on FOX on August 11th.

14 years after the shooting of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Peter Jackson’s is finishing the filming of The Hobbit: There and Back Again – the 3rd part of the Hobbit Trilogy.
From the set, Jackson shares his last moments with some important actors of the cast starting with Ian McKellen (Gandalf) and Orlando Bloom (Legolas).
