Ally is back and ready to do anything to get her son back.
Read on for our recap of American Horror Story 7×08, “Winter of Our Discontent”.
For the first time since we know they are brothers, Kai and Vincent meet face to face. It looks like the big brother is not aware of any of Kai’s plans with his cult. On the contrary, Vincent congratulates himself for the big achievement Kai has just accomplished and proceeds to offer his help.
Kai’s first motion as the new councilman is to put armed men on the streets to protect the neighboorhood. A sort of army that he, of course, will control. When one of the other councilmen appears to vote against the motion, Kai not so subtly threatens his family’s lives.
In the meantime, Kai has completely demoted Beverly, Winter and Ivy’s roles inside the cult. Beverly is tired of the situation and proposes to go after Kai. Winter asks her to give her some time to convince her brother to reverse his decisions.
Later, Winter finally learns what is Kai’s big plan for her. She will be the mother of a baby that will carry on Kai’s legacy.
Ally has a confrontation with Vincent. He reveals to her that Kai is his brother, but he swears he’s never had anything to do with his plans. He promises Ally he will do everything he can so she can see her son again.
Later that day, Ally invites Kai over for dinner. She proposes an exchange. Useful information that she can give him for her son. Kai accepts and so Ally reveals to him that his brother Vincent is trying to get him committed.
Kai seems to believe her, because later he kills his own brother.
He imprisons Beverly as well.
Loyalty restored, Kai declares he and his cult can move forward, and thus introduces a new member: Ally.
