“The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones.”
Adalind finally decides to talk to Nick. Will she finally reveal her secret to him?
Find out in our recap of Grimm 5×18, “Good to the Bone.”
Nick comes back home to find Adalind at work for her new clients at the law firm. She tells him they need to work on trust, but she still doesn’t reveal anything about being a Hexenbiest again, and Nick is obviously not glad about the fact Adalind won’t talk to him.
Hank meets again with Zuri (wesen), the doctor who helped him with physical therapy after his ankle injury. It seemed something romantic was about to happen between the two of them, but Zuri put a stop to it, thinking that her being a wesen would eventually work against a relationship. But now she asks Hank out, and he accepts the invitation.
As Grimm 5×18 continues, Eve arrives suddenly at the spice shop to talk to Rosalee. She asks how long it has been since Adalind got her Hexenbiest powers back, and Rosalee replies that it’s probably been three or four weeks. Eve wants to know if Adalind knows that Nick knows about her, but Rosalee thinks she doesn’t. Eve also knows that Rosalee and Monroe were in the tunnel while she paid a visit to Adalind the night she warned her about Black Claw and the possibility they will contact her. Rosalee wonders why Eve threatened Adalind not to try to hurt Nick – she thinks it’s something Juliette would do, not Eve.
Meanwhile, Wu calls Nick and Hank in for a new case. A man has been found dead, and Wu says that there’s not a bone left in the man’s body. Nick finds out that there were similar cases in other cities. Wu manages to identify the victim, Kevin Carl Salesky, who has a record for driving drunk, among other things. His car was reported crashed and abandoned just half an hour before his death.
While Wu sits back at his desk to continue his investigation, something happens to his hand. Thick hair starts to grow, and long nails… like the ones of a wolf. He almost faints. Nick and Hank come for help, but the hand is looking normal again and Wu tells them it’s nothing. In the meantime, Hank and Nick find Salesky’s wallet and phone nearby the place where his car crashed.
Later in Grimm 5×18, Hank and Zuri meet for dinner at her house, and they spend a good evening together. Meanwhile, Adalind wakes Nick up in the middle of the night because she has something to tell him. Again, it is not about her being a Hexenbiest, but that Renard told her Diana is with the Resistance. Adalind is sure Renard will use Diana to get to her for some reason. At this point, Nick has no choice. He tells Adalind that they think Renard is working with Black Claw. Adalind says she’s scared, so Nick tells her that should Renard ever contact her again, she must tell him.
The next day, another victim is found who has suffered the same treatment as Salesky – not a bone is left in his body. Nick talks about the case with Monroe and Rosalee, and they think it could be wesen: a Barbatus Ossifrage, a kind of wesen that kills those who are already dying. They’re like vultures, and they suck the bones out of the bodies they find. Nick, Hank, Monroe and Rosalee set up a trap for the Barbatus Ossifrage, and Monroe will have to play the victim.
Meanwhile, at the HW’s HQ, Eve learns Diana is back in the country.
Renard calls Adalind and tells her they have to meet. Adalind asks Rosalee to babysit Kelly for a couple of hours, but tells Rosalee she has to meet with a client.
Wu joins Monroe, Nick and Hank to set up the trap for the Barbatus Ossifrage. While they are waiting for the wesen to appear, Wu sees a dog, and he suddenly turns into a wolf. While running after the dog, Wu trips, hits his head and faints. And so the Barbatus Ossifrage stops – instead of going toward Monroe, he leaves and finds the unconscious Wu. Luckily, Nick and Hank find Wu before the Barbatus Ossifrage can kill him, and when the wesen tries to run away from Nick and Hank, he gets hit by a van and dies. Wu is brought to the hospital, still unconscious.
Adalind meets with Renard, but it’s a trap – there’s a plot to kidnap her and Renard is involved.
Renard’s plan is for Adalind to meet Diana, and mother and daughter are finally reunited, but what’s going to happen now?
