What is The Countess doing in front of the “Murder House”?
An intriguing connection between “Hotel” and “Murder House” is revealed in the new episode of American Horror Story: Hotel, “Room 33”, and we find out The Countess has actually feelings for someone, or better said, something.
Read on for our recap.
Los Angeles, 1926. The Countess, aka Mrs. Johnson, stands outside the “Murder House” (the first American Horror Story installment). She’s there because she’s three weeks pregnant, but her husband doesn’t know, and she needs the help of the doctor who lives in that house, Charles Montgomery.
Another flashback and we see The Countess opening the door of the hotel’s room number 33, where there is a crib. She tells her son she has to go to Paris, and when she’ll be back she’ll have so much money she will never have to leave him ever again.
In the present day, John finds the coffins in which The Countess’ children sleep. Inside one of them he sees Holden and Alex asleep. He faints, and later Alex makes him believe it was all a vision. He doesn’t find the coffins anymore because Liz Taylor helped Alex removing them.
Later, he finds out there has been another murder that might be connected to the Ten Commandment Killer. His former partner tells him that the police have someone in custody.
Liz Taylor and Tristan are lovers. Even more, Tristan tells him he loves him, and Liz loves him back. But he feels like he is betraying the Countess, after everything she has done for him.
Meanwhile, The Countess is very busy with Will Drake…
Donovan and Ramona arrive at the hotel, and she is ready to kill The Countess’ children. Ramona doesn’t find the coffins, though. She tells Iris to find the kids and to give her the key to the room 33. Once inside the room, she keeps on calling a name, Bartholomew. He (or it?) is The Countess’ son. Ramona wants to kill him, but she is injured and Bartholomew manages to escape his room. When Liz Taylor finds it out, he tells Alex to find him immediately.
While talking with Ramona, Liz tells her he’s finally in love, and he tells her about Tristan.
John realizes he’s losing his mind inside the Hotel, so he decides to leave. While he’s packing something sneaks in his case… Bartholomew.
When he arrives back home with Scarlet, she tells him that she hasn’t seen Alex since two days.
Bartholomew gets out from the case. Once John sees him, he fires his gun.
When The Countess comes back to the Cortez after a trip with Will Drake, Liz tells her about him and Tristan. He tells her he loves him. The Countess’ answer is that she doesn’t share, not until she’s done with him. Liz insists, telling her he’s not going to live forever. The Countess agrees to talk to Tristan. Only in the end, she kills him, right in front of Liz.
Alex finds Bartholomew and brings him back to the Cortez, where she tells The Countess he was hurt, but he’s going to be fine. She doesn’t share the details of Bartholomew’s trip outside the Hotel. The Countess seems very touched by the fact that Alex saved the life of her son, who as expected, is a monster. And the father? Is he March, or someone else?
