90s Con came and conquered this past weekend in Hartford, Connecticut. The decade-themed pop culture convention was the first of its kind and featured celebrity guests, panels, merchandise, and immersive experiences that would make anyone who grew up in the 90s feel like a kid again.
I don’t feel that I’m exaggerating when I say that this was one of the best days of my life.

Calling all you kids that grew up in the 90s. It’s time to celebrate one of the greatest decades and the television network that helped make it so memorable…Nickelodeon. The network changed the landscape of children’s television and helped mold a generation. Growing up during such a special and revolutionary time for kids was pretty freakin’ sweet.
Remember last year’s special 90s Nickelodeon event in New York City? The spectacular night that was 25 years in the making? Well, they’re doin’ it again!
If you missed the event last year, you’re in luck. The genius minds behind “Slimed: An Oral History of Nickelodeon’s Golden Age” are gearing up for round 2 with an all new nostalgic celebration. “A Nite of Nickelodeon Nostalgic Nonsense!” is set to take over the city during New York Super Week, a special week long celebration leading up to the 2014 New York Comic Con.
The 90s were without a doubt, the last great decade. If you agree, then we have the perfect way for you to throw a party. The National Geographic Channel is presenting a 3 night 6 hour event hosted by Rob Lowe entitled The ‘90s: The Last Great Decade? The special will feature more than 120 interviews that includes the likes of Jason Alexander, Roseanne Barr, Tony Blair, Shannen Doherty, Newt Gingrich, Vanilla Ice, Monica Lewinsky, Courtney Love, Matthew Perry, Susan Sarandon, Martin Sheen and more.
Similar to those fan-favorite VH1 specials, The ’90s: The Last Great Decade will take a look back at the moments and people that shaped an important milestone in history.
If you’re as excited as we are to check it out, we’re holding a contest so one lucky fan can host their own ’90s: The Last Great Decade viewing party!

Let’s face it. The 90s were the best. Those of us who were able to grow up and experience the best of the decade were able to experience the best out of life. The fashion, music, television, it was all my favorite. It was a time where technology was just starting to grow. We could enjoy that without being glued to our phones and computers. Heck, we still got sunshine. I’m pretty sure I’m vitamin D deficient now because of my laptop. There was an innocence in the air that just seemed to change forever after 9/11.

There are no words at all for how excited I am. The amount of shows that appear in this promo make me so unbelievably excited. I hope they dedicate time to the old game shows. Those were the best! Double Dare, What Would You Do, Guts, Legends..what do you want to see?
