I love that Emmett and Kathryn are getting to know each other. Bay needs to calm down and enjoy the fact her family is getting along with him so well.
Kathryn’s mother and Grandma to Bay and now Daphne, comes to visit. Grandma (guest star Meredith Baxter) doesn’t think before she speaks. This little problem may cost her her family.
Bay and Regina are dealing with Angelo’s disappearance. Immigration has no idea where he is and since Adrianna warned him ahead of time, he may have just fled. Daphne and Bay are struggling with where they came from and what their biological dna tells them they should be. Daphne is no longer welcome by her old friends in East Riverside because she’s “white” and “rich” now.
Bay’s grandmother has decided that Daphne is her new favorite granddaughter. She begins to treat Bay differently and even ignores her at a family get together. When she gives Daphne a gift that was meant to go to Bay, things become clear what she thinks. It’s not until Bay overhears her telling Kathryn that she can’t help but look at Bay differently because of the dna results and her background that it really sinks in. Her grandma continues to let slip borderline racist comments about where Daphne grew up and Bay loses it and leaves. She bonds with Regina over their love of art. I love that Kathryn’s character makes sure to make it a point that she never looked at Bay differently and still loves her just the same.
When Adrianna moves out and goes back to East Riverside, Daphne begins to wonder if she really has changed. Her old friends don’t want her and even she is beginning to look at her old neighborhood differently. Kathryn makes the decision to slowly let her feelings about her mother known. The families still have a lot of work to do.
Were you shocked at last night’s shocking admission from Adrianna about Angelo? We were! Meredith Baxter guest stars on next week’s episode of Switched at Birth and here you can get a first look. Here are some sneak peeks at Las Dos Fridas:

Here are some great sneak peeks at next week’s new episode of Switched at Birth: Expulsion from the Garden of Eden. Will Emmett make good on his promise to move away from his mother and live with his dad? Will the family find out what Angelo is hiding? Personally, I hope and can’t wait for Emmett to move away from his mother. She’s awful.

Melody springs on Emmett that she can’t help him pay for his $5000 fine and he can’t ask his dad for it either. In order to pay the fine, she suggests that he sell his beloved motorcycle. Bay is upset because she believes that it’s her fault and Daphne can’t let him sell something so important to him. Together, they try to come up with the money to help their friend. Daphne tries selling 5 dollar cupcakes but that really isn’t cutting it. Daphne gets another unpleasant surprise when Wilke doesn’t want to be her friend anymore. He likes you girl!
Daphne brings up the obvious solution: The Parents. Why can’t they just ask for the money? Well, they can. But odds are they won’t pay for the motorcycle that they hate. Daphne comes up with a lie to get the check. She lies about losing her hearing aids and says insurance won’t cover it. They’re more than happy to help her out but she feels terrible about it. It’s not long before Regina finds out about it and demands that she return the money. Daphne confesses to Katharyn who, in my opinion, is overreacting. She apologized and returned the money. She’s your daughter. Cut her some slack.
Regina and Angelo take the next step in purchasing the salon and going into business together. John, while unsure about Angelo’s past, goes to confront him about it. While there, John lets slip that Regina knew all along that the girls were switched. Angelo is pissed. He and Regina fight but thankfully, in the end, he doesn’t leave. He doesn’t want to leave again and wants to be in their lives. Then they kiss. Yay!
The cliffhanger of the night happens when unfortunately, Emmett has to sell his bike. Then he tells Melody that he’s moving out to go live with his dad. Gasp. I kind of hope he does it. She’s so horrible.
