I was just thinking that news on Person of Interest was getting a little slow. Then the CBS Gods graced me with this extended preview of the second season. Reese is certainly angry his best bud has been kidnapped. It looks like he needs not only some help from The Machine, but from Ken Leung. LOST reunions are the best.

As the season 2 return date for Person of Interest draws nearer, more information about the season is starting to trickle out. While looking at the promo pictures of the new season, I wonder what Root’s plans for Finch really are? What’s going on in The Contingency? Why is she treating him to dinner? Maybe she has a crush. Not that I blame her. Vests.
Here is a confirmed bunch of guest stars that will be returning for the much anticipated second season of Person of Interest:
Via TVLine:
Speaking of CBS procedurals, I myself recently gabbed with POI VIPs Jonah Nolan and Greg Plageman, and while at this time they would only offer up a “We hope so” when it comes to bringing back my old soap crush Paige Turco as Zoe, they were able to confirm other returns for Season 2 of last year’s most watched freshman drama. Jay O. Sanders will resurface as the D.C. bigwig codenamed “Pennsylvania 2,” Robert John Burke is back as Fusco’s NYPD pal Simmons, and Annie Parisse and Mike Kelly will reprise their roles as CIA operatives Kara Stanton and Mark Snow. As for new guest stars, I asked what their plan was for Margo Martindale. “That’s top-secret,” Plageman deferred, adding only that the Emmy winner’s role won’t be quite as extreme as Justified‘s Mags Bennett, yet significantly “different” from her Gifted Man hospital admin.
We can’t get enough of our favorite cast at the 2012 Comic Con: Person of Interest. A new batch of interviews from the day have made it online and we thought you’d love to see them. If you haven’t already. Irrelevants get stuff done. Our only wish is that these videos were longer! Jim looks so sleepy.
Keep checking back as we begin to add all the updates and spoilers for our new favorite drama Person of Interest at the 2012 Comic Con in San Diego. The Person of Interest panel is scheduled to occur later today.
Waiting for you to have a seat and get ready for these updates.
Or just stare at the pretty.

- “Root will be coming back, we have big plans for that character”
- Taraji is lookin’ FOINE
- Michael Emerson is adorable (this isn’t news)
- Carter wanting to know more will be a “struggle” this season
- Jim calls the series a “super hero show.” We say give him leather pants.
- Jim loves the writers. “Lightning in a bottle”
- “Finch is riding the cutting edge of technology for good.”
- Taraji says the show has made her paranoid. She shouldn’t worry. That means she’s a bad ass too.
- Taraji quote: “If you could prevent something bad from happening wouldn’t you want to? I would. With the right gun”
- If you haven’t seen someone die on the show, they may come back. (We pick Nathan!)
- They joke about a spin-off in Cleveland
- Kevin: I look great in tights. (Well, then.)
- Michael: “I think we’re going to see how detailed the creation of the machine is. I’m confident about Finch’s control of the machine”(about that back door…)
- Michael considers himself a guest star on the show because of the mortality rate. (Don’t you DARE.)
Video will be up soon!
New interview is up of Michael and Jim. Are they an odd couple in real life? Jim says he loves Michael. <3
And now what you’ve all been waiting for. CBS has the entire Comic-Con panel up and running.
Taraji: You gotta get these guys drunk to get anything out of them.
Fan questions!
A new episode of Person of Interest may not be on this Thursday night but fans of the show still have something to look forward to. Details on the Season 1 dvd and blu-ray release have hit the web! The hit drama will be releasing The Complete First Season on September 4th, 2012.
Among the special features, the DVD set will include an extended pilot episode and, most importantly, a gag reel. I can’t wait for that! It better be at least 20 minutes long. There’s nothing like a huge disappointment gag reel that’s only 3 minutes long.
Will you be buying the set?
