David Krumholtz is nearing a deal to star in an upcoming CBS comedy. Partners also stars Michael Urie (formerly of Ugly Betty) and the project comes from the creators of Will and Grace. Sounds like a fantastic formula for success to us. Michael Urie was amazing on Ugly Betty and we always love us some Krumholtz. Here are some details about the show:
Via TVLine:
Partners follows two architects — Charlie (Krumholtz) is straight, Louis (Urie) gay — whose friendship has lasted longer than either of their romantic relationships and almost seems like a weird marriage. When Charlie decides to propose to his girlfriend (One Tree Hill‘s Sophia Bush), Louis’ neurotic attempts to be supportive nearly result in the breakup of his own relationship. Erstwhile Man of Steel Brandon Routh costars as Louis’ boyfriend.
The project, which brings Krumholtz back into the CBS fold for the first time since his Numb3rs days (he’s even playing another Charlie!), is based on Kohan and Mutchnick’s own relationship.
This sounds great. Here’s hoping it gets picked up. If you haven’t already, you should follow David on twitter here because he’s awesome.
Pilot episodes for next season in television are already forming. You can now add Max Adler to the list of people in them. Max has joined Shawn Ryan’s Last Resort, a new drama for ABC. Also good news, this doesn’t necessarily mean we’ve seen the last of Dave Karofsky on Glee!
Details:
Via TVLine:
Adler, who has recurred on Glee since Season 1, will appear as a guest star in the pilot — and may or may not stay on if it gets picked up to series.
Last Resort is set in the not-so-distant future and follows the crew of a U.S. nuclear submarine who become fugitives after refusing to fire their missiles. Ultimately, they make camp on an island that hosts a NATO listening station and declare themselves an independent nuclear nation.
Jonathan Groff has landed a new role on Boss. Groff will be joining the show for the drama’s second season.
Jonathan Groff is about to raise some Kane on the second season of Starz’s Boss. The Glee grad joins the cast of the political drama as Ian Todd, an ambitious new member of crooked Mayor Kane’s office. The character will help fill the void left by Martin Donovan’s Ezra Stone.

Good news for fans of Caleb on Pretty Little Liars! Word is that Tyler Blackburn has been upgraded to series regular. His new status will kick in when the show returns for season 3. I’m so excited about this. Ever since Caleb started helping the girls and essentially becoming a fifth Little Liar, the show has gotten so interesting. With this news, I have to assume Caleb will not be the one to die this season.
Friday Night Lights fans will be happy to hear that Person of Interest has tapped Matt Lauria to join an upcoming episode. Person of Interest returns Thursday with a new episode featuring the return of Paige Turco’s character.
Via TVLine:
Does Matt Lauria interest you? Because he soon is about to become a Person of Interest for John Reese and Mr. Finch.
TVLine has learned exclusively that the Friday Night Lights alum is set to guest-star on CBS’ freshman drama as a sharp, young trader at a major investment bank — and Reese and Finch’s latest POI.
Lauria will appear in Episode 16, which is tentatively set to air during February sweeps.
