In this week’s new episode of The Mentalist, Forest Green, the FBI team must investigate the death of a woman in the Sam Houston National Forest.
The woman is a Jane Doe, even if the local police found a cellphone near her body. The only place around from the body’s location is the Foragers’ Club, an exclusive men only Club. Jane (Simon Baker) and Lisbon (Robin Tunney) decide to start from there.
They talk with the Club’s President. He says he has never seen the victim before, but Jane is sure she was killed inside the club’s property.
In the meantime, Fisher (Emily Swallow) manages to find informations about the victim. A motel owner recognized her. Her name is Madison Pryce, from Austin.
Lisbon asks the staff’s head if he knows her, but he says that no one by that name has ever worked in the club, since he started managing the staff.
Cho (Tim Kang) and Fisher talk with Madison’s sister, who tells them that her sister was gay, so it is unlikely she might have been in the club to meet a boyfriend.
Jane manages to find out Madison spent the night with one of the club’s waitresses.
Talking with her, Fisher finds out Madison was an escort.
So Madison was at the Club to meet a client. In fact the Club has a brothel they maintain on the grounds, and it’s called the Fishing Camp.
Abbott (Rockmond Dunbar) joins Jane and Lisbon during their investigations at the Club. They were looking for the staff’s head, but he’s nowhere to be found and his laptop is missing too.
In the cabin Madison used with her clients, they find a trace that leads to an important golf player, Kimura. Jane and Abbott talk to him. They are interrupted by his attorney, Gregory Dyer.
Abbott and Lisbon find the staff’s head dead in the woods.
To catch Madison’s killer, Jane and the team sets a trap, using Madison’s cellphone. They make it look like as if there’s an audio of Madison’s murderer recorded.
Gregory Dyer is revealed to be Madison’s killer. He was blackmailing his client Kimura. He set a camera in Madison’s cabin to spy on her with him. The staff’s head let Gregory put a camera in Madison’s cabin, so that’s why he had to be killed. While Greg was putting the camera in the cabin, Madison arrived. She saw him and Greg had to kill her.
Aside from the main case, this episode was very important also because a lot happened between Lisbon and her new boyfriend, Agent Pike (Pedro Pascal).
After the case is closed, Lisbon meets him for dinner, where Pike reveales to her that he got a very important job offer: he would have to run a new FBI office that deals with international art theft. The problem is, he would have to run it from D.C.
Pike says he doesn’t want to take the job if that means leave Lisbon behind. She obviously says that he has to take the offer. And so Pike makes her an unexpected proposition: to go with him to D.C.
What is Teresa going to say about that?
A new episode of The Mentalist will air next Sunday, April 27.
