“Love looks not with the eyes, but
with the mind,
And therefore is winged Cupid
painted blind.”
Monroe gets a “hell” of a birthday party, while Diana enjoys an eventful weekend with her father.
Read on for our recap of Grimm 6×07, “Blind Love.”
In a romantic building facing a lake, Monroe declares his love to… Eve. Then Nick does the same to Rosalee, Adalind to Monroe, Eve to Nick… What is going on?!
36 hours earlier…
At Nick’s loft, Diana wakes Eve up. She asks if Eve’s tummy hurts and explains that her tummy hurts when she’s feeling sad. She assumed Eve’s may hurt because Nick is not her boyfriend anymore. Bless Diana’s innocence(?)!
Eve admits that, yes, it might hurt sometimes, but things are a lot different now. It wouldn’t be right for her to want Nick back for herself.
Diana confesses that sometimes she misses her “other mommy” Kelly (Nick’s mother, who took care of Diana when she was a few months old, and is now dead). She asks Eve if she knows where Kelly is. Before Eve can think of how to reply, Adalind interrupts their conversation. Diana must go to her dad’s. Before Diana leaves, Adalind tells her she must keep a secret: She can’t tell anyone what she has seen in the tunnels, and what Eve has carved on the walls.
Meanwhile, at Monroe and Rosalee’s, our favorite duo celebrates Monroe’s birthday. Rosalee has a special gift: A weekend at the Columbia Gorge Hotel. What’s more, their friends Nick, Eve, Adalind, Hank, and Wu will join them.
Back at Nick’s loft, Adalind leaves with Diana and Eve takes a shower. After finishing it, she looks at herself in the bathroom’s mirror. Suddenly the mirror is full of a purple fog, from which a skull with green eyes suddenly emerges. Eve, scared, calls Nick. They both see the skull before it suddenly disappears and the mirror is back being just a mirror. They agree not to tell anyone what they just saw until they can figure out what it was.
Later that day, Monroe and Rosalee meet Hank, Wu, Nick, Adalind, and Eve at the Columbia Gorge Hotel. Our favorite gang is reunited!
One of the hotel’s employees looks suspiciously at Nick and Adalind. After he accompanies them in their room, he calls home and tells her mother to contact his father. He’s not going to believe who he has just seen: Nick.
In the meantime, Diana is at her dad’s, drawing the mysterious symbols. Confronted by Renard, she tells him she’s drawing what she saw in the tunnels, but she can’t reveal anything else because she has to keep her promise. Renard is obviously interested in the symbols, especially after hearing that Adalind wants them to remain a secret. He snaps a photo of his daughter’s drawing.
Just then, the doorbell rings. There’s a delivery for Renard – a plant. While Renard is busy taking care of the delivery, someone intrudes into the house and kidnaps Diana. Renard realizes she’s missing, but after a moment’s panic he just… does nothing.
Later that night, Randy – the hotel employee who noticed Nick’s presence in the hotel – receives a call from his father. We find out he’s in prison, and the person who put him there is Nick. Father and son are wesen, obviously. Randy promises his father he’s going to make Nick pay for what he did, then says these words: Amor de Infierno. It’s a spell that will make Nick and his friends tear each other apart with their bare hands.
Randy proceeds to create a potion and puts it in our friends’ champagne while they are having dinner, remembering how they all first met and how their friendship started.
Rosalee refuses the champagne since she’s pregnant, so her glass goes to Hank, who’s about to drink the potion twice! Our friends make a toast to Monroe, oblivious that they are going to be in a lot of trouble…
Later that night, Renard is still not at all worried about his daughter missing. He’s taking a look at her drawings when he receives a message (a photo of Diana asleep) and then a phone call. It’s Lieutenant Grossante, the man who should have become captain if Renard had kept his promise. Since he didn’t get what he wanted in the end, he swore to Renard that he would make him pay. He threatens to kill Diana, but Renard seems more annoyed than anything else…
The next day at the Columbia Gorge Hotel, our friends wake up. Something is obviously wrong. They all seem off – all of them except Rosalee.
In the meantime, Diana wakes up. She wants to go home, and even asks politely. When Grossante threatens her, she proceeds to show him she’s not a helpless little girl. It won’t end well for Grossante…
As Grimm 6×07 continues, things are getting more than complicated. Wu falls madly in love with a waitress, Hank falls in love with… himself, Nick falls for Rosalee, and Monroe for Eve. And lastly, Adalind declares her love for Monroe!
Poor Rosalee is the only one sane, while all her friends have gone crazy for one another. She finally realizes that something terrible has been done to all of them. She also understands what it is: the Amor de Infierno.
In the meantime, Grossante is still held captive by Diana. The poor fellow calls Renard to ask for his help. Renard couldn’t care less and leaves him in the hands of his daughter, who seems to enjoy “playing” with her captor.
Back at the hotel, Rosalee confronts Randy, who reveals why he used the Amor de Infierno on Nick and her friends. He threatens to kill the waitress Wu has fallen in love with, so Wu kills him.
When Randy dies, the spell is broken, and our friends come to their senses.
As Grimm 6×07 ends, we see Renard come and pick his daughter up, leaving a dying Grossante alone.
