What do David Hasselhoff and Michael Phelps have in common? They’re both in this episode of Catfish! Sort of. Tonight is the first of the two night season finale of Catfish. It’s an episode that didn’t make the cut last season and I can’t understand why. It’s a crazy one!
Read on for our recap of Catfish 2×12: “Blake and Kiersten” below:
As this episode begins, I’m noticing the guy is rather good looking. That’s all I have to say about that. He lives in Texas and he has had a relationship with a girl named Kiersten. She’s one of those bleached blonde models (I know) who looks like Anna Nicole.
He has tried to meet her before, even getting to her hotel, only to be stood up at the last minute. He’s not a total idiot and has done some research on his own. He found out that her real name is Kendra and all her pictures are fake. She had claimed that her Godfather was David Hasselhoff and that she dated Michael Phelps.
The Search
Nev and Max contact the girl in the pictures, Sara Grace, and find out that she knows all about this girl’s games. This girl had even conned Sara into taking a picture with a sign that said Kiersten on it. The “Kendra” profile is also a fake. The real Kendra, a girl named Sarah Ordo, has heard of this girl as well. This girl is seriously manipulative. I can’t wait to see where this goes. I feel like the episode should have been called Blake and Kendra instead of Blake and Kiersten.
They decide to just call the mystery girl and lull her into a false sense of security and convince her to meet them. She has a sweet voice but doesn’t understand why Blake needs Nev and the Silver Fox. She’s excited and agrees to meet them in Idaho. Potatoes!
The Meet Up
They meet at a park and I feel like we’ve been to this place before. She walks up and sigh, she’s a “heavier” girl and Blake looks like he wants to barf from the shock. She’s not ugly or anything but she’s still claiming to be Kendra. She seems nice, and even calls Nev and Max “Oprah and Gayle”.

She says she was in a group of girls who made fake profiles to be safe with guys in clubs. Then she claims that Sara Grace is a friend of hers. Blake knows that she’s still lying about that and she leaves when they call her out. The next day, she agrees to meet at the hotel as long as they don’t bash her. She claims that she may have to leave because her son is sick. Does she even have a son? Max calls out her lying and manipulative crying because we all know she’s lying about not stealing Sara Grace’s photos. She’s not friends with this girl. Why is she claiming to be? Gasp. She tells Max to shut up. Awww here it goes! OMG. He’s amazing. He tells her that Sara said she’s full of shit. Max leaves in a huff when “Kendra” complains about his bullying. I’m so confused here. What’s the truth? Who is she? Why is she lying? The world may never know.
One Month Later
Blake is still cute and single. He hasn’t talked to Kendra and he’s happy to have some closure. He’s talking to the real Sara Grace now. I guess he has a type. “Kendra” remains a mystery. I wonder what she’ll admit at the reunion. What did you think about the “Blake and Kiersten” episode of Catfish? Was it the best episode ever?
One of out best eps of #catfish ever is about to air. Don’t miss!
