This is the episode of Switched at Birth that will change everything.
Read on for our recap of Switched at Birth 3×15: “And We Bring The Light” below:
The episode starts off with Kathryn getting a late night phone call to inform her that there has been an accident. She looks distraught and we flash back to 12 hours earlier. I’m so nervous! The first scene shows Regina learning how to use a gun. Well, that’s not good foreshadowing.
Before we get to the good and emotional stuff, let’s look elsewhere. Toby has returned home from his epic vacation in Iceland. He’s got some scruff now and a new career ambition. He wants to be a DJ. Well, alright then.
Bay’s career is up in the air as well when she receives a rejection letter from the only art school she’s ever wanted to go to. Her family rallies together to encourage Bay on a semi-illegal street art project and hopefully she’ll be okay.
But who really cares at this point.
Oh, hey. That evil, beady eyed Chip Koto is back. He turns up at a business dinner between Wes and Regina and is still, well, evil. He’ll probably be trouble later down the line.
Daphne is obsessed and stressed about wanting to get a better SAT score for med school and Angelo wants to help take her mind off of things. He brings her to his restaurant to recreate a recipe of his grandmother’s and the two of them are just so cute together. They’re bonding, laughing, hugging, taking selfies, and tasting great lemon cake. I’m just loving watching him sign with her.
But the foreshadowing is hurting me. They’re talking about traveling together. It hurts.
He’s hiding the fact that his restaurant has been foreclosed on. When Daphne finds out, we get an emotional and amazing scene from Gilles Marini. There are tears. And not just from him. I think there’s something in my eye.
Daphne suddenly realizes she left her SAT book at Regina’s store and the two of them leave to go get it. Regina is there, scrubbing the recent marks of vandalism off of her window. She has her gun with her and doesn’t know that Daphne is the one downstairs making all that noise. Daphne, of course, can’t hear Regina’s warnings from upstairs. Daphne walks in and comes face to face with her gun.
Yikes! That was close. Angelo is furious. They start arguing and Regina delivers some low blows about him being a crap father and he leaves all flustered and drives away.
Kathryn then gets the call about the accident and they all rush to the hospital.
Can’t we save Angelo? I’ve been loving his new scenes with the family now that he finally has something to do. And he’s so pretty.
