The Challenge returns tonight with the 25th season of the hit competition series. MTV is celebrating this milestone by creating a new, intense, and crazier format than ever before. It’s everyone for themselves…but with a twist.
Who went home on week 1 of The Challenge: Free Agents? Check out our recap and the results below:

After letting the cast know that they’ll be competing for themselves, he further explains that this game is a combination. It’s a game of chance. You will need to prove you’re the best player in the group if you want to win. Before a challenge, the cast won’t know if they’re competing as a group, a pair, or alone.
Before elimination, one guy and one girl will be voted in while one other guy and girl will flip a card to see if they’re going in.
Anything is possible. Anyone can go home at any time.
Out On A Ledge
Two teams of 14 will be competing in three levels of competition. Two captains are chosen and then it’s old school picking your teams at gym.
The first groups must climb 42 flights of stairs while they are chained together. The second station is an old fashioned puzzle. The third station is a doozy. It takes place at the top of the tallest building in Uruguay and the platform is suspended over nothingness. And there’s a rolling loge. Hell no. If you have a fear of heights, this is not for you.
Results:
The black team defeats the red team. No one pees and some balls may have been crushed. Latoya is sent to the hospital after getting hit in the head.
The Draw:
Latoya is voted in for the girls.
Chet is voted in for the guys.
Frank pulls the “kill card” and will be going in.
Jemmye pulls the “kill card” and will be going in.
Balls In:
The pairs will wrestle, switching offense and defense, to score a ball into a barrel.
ELIMINATED:
Chet slices his chin and forfeits. I met him at a David Archuleta concert so I’m not surprised.
Jemmye puts up a good fight but is eliminated.
This season looks crazy and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us.
What do you think of the results? Be sure to check back every week for continued coverage of The Challenge.
