Full transcript:
What secrets can you reveal about the new episodes of Twisted?
Avan Jogia: Danny does something in the first two episodes that changes who he is pretty profoundly. That’ll be an intense..I can’t wait for people to see. It’s very exciting.
It’s very vague.
Avan: It’s pretty intense. It’s central to the rest of the show. Nothing is going to be the same.
So it sets up the storyline for the rest of the season?
Avan: Maybe for the next two seasons.
Twisted has been a huge success. Have you noticed any reactions on the street? Are you getting more noticed?
Avan: Yeah, sometimes. I don’t go out. I’m working and when I’m not working, I’m sleeping. It’s really cool. Every time that happens I feel really surprised and really lucky. I don’t recognize myself half the time in the mirror. I’m like “Who’s that guy?” I gotta cut my hair. I find it very flattering.
Have you had any extreme reactions? Anything that stood out for you?
Avan: A couple times. Nothing I couldn’t handle. Sometimes it’s very like “Oh, wow. That’s quite a reaction to seeing a person.”
What about just being here in New York?
Avan: New York, it happens a lot more. It’s a walking culture. But it’s been fun. I love New York. It’s my first time being here this time of year. It’s amazing. It feels like Christmas.
Are you going to have the chance to go ice skating?
Avan: Here’s the thing. I’m Canadian. I can ice skate. Because I have to be able to do that. Every year I discover if I can do this or not. I usually can. I’m gonna do one lap. If I can do one lap, I’m gonna go sit down. I don’t want to push my luck. That’s my goal.
Do you have any Christmas traditions?
Avan: I spend time with my family. This year, I think we’re gonna go to London. My father’s English and I’m English. I’m gonna be doing that with my family. That’ll be really nice. I love Christmastime. We’ll get together and drink tea, watch television..simple stuff.
