ABC needs to cool it with the dramatic hashtags. People aren’t freaking out over seeing Belle (Emilie de Ravin) be lovesick again. If anything, viewers are freaking out because we finally get to see everyone in Storybrooke again. Yay! There’s Archie. There’s Grumpy. There’s Granny. We’ve missed you. Belle tells the town that “Others are coming.” Oh, no. Not them again. Belle was able to cast a spell to conceal the town from intruders, but not before two mysterious men make their way in. This town was enjoying their peace and quiet. LOL at the dwarfs saying they’re happy the Charmings are gone. I’m right there with you, guys.
The intruders are kind of cute. We all know who they are but let’s just play along. Ariel (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) is sent to Storybrooke with 24 hour legs to find Belle and tell her that Rumple needs something from his shop. Chip, the teacup, is a key that unlocks the space Rumple has hidden Pandora’s box. This is how he will beat Pan. But not if our mystery men have any say in the matter. They tie our girls up and hold them at gunpoint. “What’s a gun?” Aww, Ariel.
The girls are able to escape and stop the boys from destroying the box in time. They tell them that Pan has their sister (of course) and he will kill them all if they don’t help him. Who is their sister? Wendy Darling.
Back in Neverland, the gang is on the hunt for Pan’s shadow AKA the only way off the island. They need to go to the darkest place on the island, Dark Hollow, to trap it. The Charmings head off to give each other the silent treatment and the love triangle of the week make their way to the hollow. Hook tells Neal he kissed Emma, Neal is jealous, Hook declares he will win Emma, Emma tells them both to back off and just kiss each other (no, wait, that was me) and we make our way to the hollow. After an anti-climactic battle with some shadows, Emma summons her magic to trap the one they need.
Pan and his eyebrows are busy trying to convince Henry to do the right thing. Whatever that is. Wendy is the other person in the crate. I never did think that Pan was a good friend. Peter uses Wendy to manipulate Henry into thinking he has to save her and the island. Oh, good grief. Just keep him!
Special shoutout this week to Grumpy saying this gem to Granny:
“Oh now you have a dress code? I seem to remember a few of Ruby’s outfits that are seared into my brain.”
