This week’s Under the Dome episode makes Chester Mills, the center of a huge medical crisis. After just a couple of days trapped by this mysterious barrier, the people of the town discovers that soon they’re going to face some supplies problems including medicine.
Julia is still investigating about Barbie with the map secretly she hides when he arrives. Questioning her about her behavior, Julia explains she has an headache and no more aspirin. Barbie kinda betrayed himself by telling her to try the gas station as the pharmacy “Dee” is closed. To which she answers that he seems to know pretty well the town for someone who was just passing by. Finally she is going to continue her investigation at the radio station. For sure, they won’t be the couple of this season.
Unfortunately for the people of Chester Mills the Army seems to leave the place. Linda arrives at the border and finds people tagging “don’t leave us” & “help” on the Dome (good to know you can’t touch it without feeling electricity but you can tag it easily). She tries to make them leave and calm down. Julia takes advantage of the chaos and Barbie not paying attention to go back to the car and leave. Big Jim criticizes Linda for showing her gun to calm to people and act like every “wanna-be” leader does: showing he has the control of the situation. And surprisingly it works, people go back to their place. Criticizing Linda a little again, she suddenly faints for no reason.
And we move to Junior and Angie still locked in the family fallout shelter. So yes, Junior is having a serious mental problem as he arrives with a gift for Angie: the dress she was wearing at the prom, the first time they dance together. Angie tries again to escape but her plan fails….again. No worries she is certainly planning her next unsuccessful plan right now.
Julia finds her husband’s car and discovers he sold it. But the man suddenly collapses. At the hospital, Joe (Angie’s brother) meets Junior worrying about her absence and as you can imagine Junior acts as if he knew nothing. Guess what? Trying to escape – told you she was going to find another stupid plan- Angie broke a pipe in the shelter and some water is filling now the room while she is unconscious. Oh she is going to wake up and is actually spending the rest of the episode yelling for help.
The doctors seem to be MIA and more and more people are starting to have fevers and headache before they collapse. Exactly what Julia has, she collapses after facing Barbie and asking him how he knew Peter (her husband). This disease creates a real medical crisis as they don’t have antibiotics.
Big Jim and Barbie decide to go together to find them leaving the control of the hospital to his son….with a gun. Great idea Big Jim, as if his son needed a gun to trap a person in a place. It seems someone broke into the pharmacy. Apparently it’s the reverend who stole all the drugs. Oh no worries Big Jim is the savior again and brings the antibiotics to the hospital.
Norrie and Joe decide to touch again to see what happens. They have again seizures except this time they’re filming the whole scene. “The rose stars are falling,” they repeat several times. They decide to not show the video to anyone because the Dome doesn’t want them to.
The DJ Julia saved tells her about a cabin where Peter was. With the broken table in the middle and the mess in the place, it seems to be the room we saw in Barbie’s flashback – The one where he is fighting with Peter. There she finds some interesting papers telling her Peter emptied their accounts and the house and she collapses. At the hospital the DJ talks about the cabin again and guess what…he decides to go saving her at the same time.
Barbie isn’t maybe a bad guy after all, as we discover he is an enforcer making people pay off their gambling debts. He lies to her by telling her husband’s taken off. Julia orders him to leave the house. Finally the outbreak is over. Junior is awarded with a sheriff badge given by Linda.
The reverend pays a little visit to give Big Jim all his profits and tells him to keep the propane because he wants his hands clean. Once he leaves, Big Jim hears Angie’s screaming (finally) and comes down finding her.
The question is: will he save her? Or will he lets her so nobody will know his son is a psycho.
