This is the episode. The big one. A certain someone discovers Toby’s secret. And did we mention he’s not the only one in this episode with crazy, serial killer tendencies? This episode was so full of suspense, I felt it would have been right at home during ABC Family’s 13 Nights of Halloween. You do not want to miss this one.
Check out our recap of the biggest moments and reveals from this week’s new episode of Pretty Little Liars: Misery Loves Company.
Hanna is worried about Caleb. He’s up to something and after he ended up getting shot helping her, she understandably wants him to stay safe. She overhears him on the phone talking about Mona and worries he’ll try something stupid again. She enlists Emily’s help in following Caleb to see who he’s meeting in secret. Emily gives up and doesn’t see that it’s really just Paige he’s meeting to chat with. Both just concerned about their partners. Emily is a terribly spy.
Fashion Victim
Did anyone else laugh out loud when the hashtag #FasionVictim popped up on screen when Hanna was attacked? Just me? Okay. Hanna has an interview at a creepy, deserted clothing store and Toby is waiting for her inside. He pushes her to the ground and runs away, dropping a key to, I assume, is A’s lair.
Scream
So last week everyone was worrying that Aria is pregnant. This week, we learn that that’s not the case. Not yet anyway. Meredith has lost a few screws and gone completely mental. She’s decided to drug Byron’s daughter and steal her phone. She searches everywhere for the diary pages, my guess to get rid of them to save her man.
While “asleep” Aria has a dream or a vision of Ali. Ali is cryptic as always and warns her about Meredith’s tea and hints that she’s not dead. When Aria awakens, she discovers that Meredith has locked her in her room.
She’s not done. She hovers over Aria with a broken shard of glass in her hand and knocks Aria out cold and locks her in the basement. Emily and Hanna show up to show off their stupidity and get locked in the basement as well.
Byron comes home, completely calm about the fact that his girlfriend has almost killed his daughter and tries to get them to believe he won’t hurt them. Later on he tells Aria that he only saw Ali that night to tell her he wouldn’t give her the money. In his flashback, we see Melissa on the phone talking to someone about calling 911 to get their attention.
Any thoughts who she was talking to? Are you as mad as I am that Aria burned the diary pages?

Spencer is surprising Toby with a big dinner at his place for their anniversary. He’s a bit on edge that she has the key he dropped and thinks she’s at a dinner with her father. He breaks into Spencer’s house to look for it. She walks up behind him and confronts him. She’s known ever since she started the dinner. She found his Radley Sanitarium badge in a drawer. Careless Toby.
The confrontation itself is a bit of a letdown. Maybe they’ll save more for later? He walks toward her looking like a murderous dinosaur and she slaps him across the face. Her mom walks in and he runs out. She sobs into her arms and again at Toby’s apartment door begging him to tell her it’s a misunderstanding. Inside, Mona is happily sipping the wine Spencer had prepared.
Why do these children have wine?
