Cool news for fans of the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy. Simon Pegg just announced on his Twitter that the release date for the upcoming final installment The World’s End has a new release date. And apparently it’s a better one! The film, originally set to be released in October of this year will now be released on August 23rd, 2013, giving it an “upgrade” to a Summer release. Simon also revealed that sometime soon, an official trailer for the film will be released.
We can’t wait! How about you guys? Are you fans of Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz? I would see anything with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost so I am already getting amped up.
Okay, I’m not much of a Trekkie and Simon Pegg was the only reason I saw the first movie but I really enjoyed it. And I have to say, Star Trek Into Darkness looks awesome. The kind of big Summer blockbuster we can all look forward to. In this first look featurette, the cast and director J.J. Abrams talk what fans can expect from the action flick. J.J. assures fans that we’ll get to see more of the characters we love (Scotty, Bones, Zulu etc.) so this is all welcome news to me.
Check out a first look of Star Trek Into Darkness coming soon to theaters:
Some of these effects, just from this clip alone look amazing. I can’t even fathom how much this movie cost to make. Think of all the houses, cars, buses for sale and even small countries it would take for a normal person to fund this movie. I can’t wait to see it.
How about you guys? Will you be buying a ticket for the sequel?
I think at this point, it’s safe to say I will watch anything that Simon Pegg is in. Following in the steps of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright are teaming up for The World’s End. I wonder how many cornettos will be in this one? Here is the official synopsis for The World’s End.
I love when these guys get together. Paul was an amazing movie and it’s one of my favorite dvds on my shelf. Like I said, I would watch anything with these guys.
Synopsis:
The official synopsis reads: “20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End.
“As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.”
The World’s End will be the final movie in the Spaced trio’s ‘Cornetto Trilogy’, following 2004’s Shaun Of The Dead and 2007’s Hot Fuzz.
The movie Paul gives me hope that the duo will continue to work together in the future. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out!
