I am already getting excited for this and stocking up on popcorn. We are just a few weeks away from the premiere of The World’s End. The third installment in the Cornetto Trilogy starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost is set to hit US theaters August 23rd.
If you’re a huge fan of the Edgar Wright films like I am, you’re not going to want to miss this. Regal cinemas is presenting a The World’s End marathon of all three films in the trilogy. On August 22nd, you can view all three movies starting with the insanely popular Shaun of the Dead.
For only 20 dollars, this sounds like a steal to us.

Star Trek Into Darkness is official released into theaters next week on May 17th. One of the most highly anticipated movies of the year is sure to be a blockbuster. To help ensure the film’s success, the cast is making the rounds and visiting various press outlets. The most recent, and probably our favorite, is this one. It’s not news that I happen to love Simon Pegg so I’m thrilled to post video of his appearance this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
One of the biggest stories to come out of filming the movie is the epic prank on newcomer Benedict Cumberbatch that the entire cast and crew was in on. Simon tells the story better than I could so check out these videos of what happens when you convince an actor he’s in desperate need of neutron cream.

This looks so good! The final installment of The Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy from Edgar Wright is officially on the way. Universal has just released the first official teaser trailer for the new movie The World’s End. Featuring the boys we know and love (Simon Pegg, Nick Frost) and a cast we’re sure to grow to love, the movie will feature a pub crawl of epic proportions. It’s good to see that Simon still hasn’t mastered the art of jumping over a fence.
I can’t wait for this. I haven’t been so excited to see Nick and Simon together since Paul. Which I LOVED.
The World’s End is set to be released July 19th in the U.K. with an August 23rd release in the United States.

Great news for fans in the U.K. Edgar Wright has just tweeted that the premiere date for The World’s End has been pushed up to July 19th. This will make the release of the movie a month earlier than previously reported. The film is still scheduled for an August 23rd release in the United States. The film is the third in the Cornetto Trilogy, following cult favorites Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz and marks another reunion for fan favorites Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The duo previously starred together in the hit comedy Paul.
Joining Pegg and Frost are the likes of Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan, and Rosamund Pike. The film is set for a August 23rd release in the US. Expect to see the trailer soon! In ‘The World’s End,’ 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realise the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

Again, I say that I’m not a huge Trekkie or anything but I loved the first film and I’m really starting to look forward to Star Trek Into Darkness. It’s a huge Summer blockbuster full of action that I think we can all look forward to. The new trailer features more of the conflict this time around and Benedict Cumberbatch as the villain. My fave Simon Pegg is only in the trailer for about 0.5 seconds so I’ll have to forgive them for that later on.
