I wasn’t sure what to expect when it was announced that Justin Bieber would be hosting Saturday Night Live. Although it seemed like the writers relied heavily on the same joke over and over and focused more on the cast members’ strengths and Justin’s ability to sing, the show did deliver some laughs.
Check out the videos of our favorite sketches of the night:
I think Justin had about one and a half lines throughout this entire sketch but it was enough spawn Taran Killam‘s freakout over Justin’s use of the word “glice.” Check out Justin almost break character in this video:
For some unknown reason, SNL continues to try to recreate the magic the original Californians sketch provided. Once Kristen Wiig left, this sketch should have died. I will say however that I laughed a ton when the camera refused to leave Bill Hader‘s face.
Vanessa Bayer brings back her Miley Cyrus impression and Justin apologizes for smoking weed.
All the jokes about Justin Bieber’s appearance that you would expect..plus dancing. Get it Bobby!
Is anyone else ready for a new video from The Lonely Island? Since Andy Samberg’s departure from Saturday Night Live it’s been awhile since the hilarious trio have been featured on the show. Not to mention we haven’t seen a Digital Short since. The group was recently seen filming with Adam Levine. With the Maroon 5 frontman set to host SNL later this month, could the four of them be filming a new Digital Short for the episode?
We certainly hope so. Not only is Levine a favorite here at Pop City Life, but who doesn’t love The Lonely Island?! We can’t be the only ones who quote “I’m on a Boat” and “Dick in a Box” on a daily basis. Come on, that is catchy music at its finest. This collaboration would be perfect, especially now that Levine is one of the hottest and most sought after artists in the music scene today. We’re ready to see if Levine has the chops to deliver the comedic gold.
Isn’t that one of the great things about The Lonely Island though? They’re able to produce this style of music that infuses comedy with hip hop. The band definitely found a great niche audience by teaming up with Saturday Night Live to showcase their music. While they’re not the only ones to feature this style of music (hello Tenacious D), it’s crazy to see how much they’ve changed the music world throughout the years. Music today has come a long way from anything we’d ever find over at www.ioldies.com.
Will you be tuning into SNL this week to see Levine try his hand at hosting? Sound off!
When Saturday Night Live returns from a long Winter hiatus, Jennifer Lawrence will be hosting the show. The Hunger Games star will be joined by musical guest The Lumineers when the show airs this Saturday on NBC. Fresh off a win at the Golden Globes, Jennifer will be a welcome breath of fresh air. Will she live up to Martin Short‘s amazing episode from December?
Check out Jennifer with Jason Sudeikis in these promos for Saturday’s episode. What happens when Jennifer aims an arrow at an apple on Bobby’s head? Check it out:

From worldwide success in Maroon 5 to fan favorite judge on The Voice, Adam Levine proves he’s capable of almost anything. But how are his comedic acting chops? The singer is set to host an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live. Having been a musical guest in the past, this episode will mark his first time hosting the show. His episode, featuring musical guest Kendrick Lamar, will air January 26th, one week after Jennifer Lawrence hosts the show. Will you be tuning in?
Some of my favorite SNL moments ever always seem to include a sketch where the hilarious Bill Hader gets the giggles. His giggle is up there with Anderson Cooper has one of my favorites. Really, any scene where the cast breaks character is a good one and this is no exception. The dress rehearsal video for last night’s Renaldo and Alexi has both Fred Armisen and Bill fighting to get through the scene without laughing. It’s definitely worth a look!

Can I just print postcards at printingamerica.com with Bill’s giggly face on it as my Christmas card?
