X Factor finalist Astro guest stars on this week’s episode of Person of Interest. His number is up after his brother is murdered and he wants some revenge. Reese is determined to get to him before the suspects do. It’s a bit distracting knowing that this kid is from The X Factor so his acting is all I can notice in the beginning. But this episode is so good that it is quickly pushed out of my mind.
Reese grabs Darren to try and keep him safe from the thugs who killed his brother. He’s relying on Carter to help him out because Lionel is busy following Finchy. Finch has a new desk and an office for some insurance company. How does that even happen in this economy? Better yet, why is he bothering with a second job? Doesn’t saving the world take up most of your time? Ingram’s son is back in town and he’s asking questions. Too many questions. It’s not long before Harold is concerned about how close to the truth this kid is getting.
He tracks down a woman from his dad’s past but she spins him some tale about his dad just suffering from a failed business venture. Whether she knows the truth is unclear to me at the moment. What is clear is that she doesn’t like Harold very much. Or she’s scared of him. At the mere mention of his name she books it. What is Harold’s deal? Lionel uncovers that Harold probably isn’t even his real name. Just one of many aliases. Harold was his name when he was at school in MIT with Nathan. What is he hiding? Is he still a good guy?
Darren hires Reese to do what he can’t. Basically, he’s gonna be his superhero for the day. Darren tags along and observes how Reese does what he does. This kid must have ADD or something because he runs off like 4 times. If I was hanging out with Reese, the last thing on my mind would be to leave. I’d stay as close as I could to be honest. But that’s just me. When they find the murder weapon that killed his brother, Darren takes off to use it on the bad guys. Reese and Carter show up to kick some ass but it’s Lionel who saves the day. He literally flies through the air to protect Darren and ends up getting shot in the tush. Is that the ass moment that Kevin promised us this week? LOL! We love it.
Glee has Spanish fever this week. And by fever, I mean Schue just wants to get tenure. When someone at school complains about his teaching methods and threatens him making tenure, he decides to start taking classes at the local night school to brush up on his Spanish. The teacher? Is Ricky Martin.
Well on Glee he’s David Martinez, but in reality he’s like, the hottest teacher ever.
Dave suggests Schue should have the kids sing Latin music because it would help them learn the language easier than any lesson would. Schue brings him in to show the kids a thing or two. Dave and the kids perform Sexy and I Know It. I hate this song but I love these group performances where it’s so obvious that the cast is having a great time. And Ricky is sooo good looking. It’s the best thing about this episode.
Sue makes a shocking announcement. She wants to become a mother and have a baby. But with whose vagina?? She has frozen her eggs and now she’s looking for the right goods. She hits up some of Glee clubs finest men (ew) but ultimately she wants Will’s. Um. Why? Because of his kindness apparently. Whatever. He obviously says no and she finds someone else. Sue’s tenure is also threatened when a student (Becky) complains about her focus not being on the Cheerios. Coach Roz is brought in to liven up the group a bit and Sue is scared to think she could lose her job to her. I love the two of them as enemies.
In Love news, Rachel tells Mercedes and Kurt that Finn proposed. Predictable, they think she’s nuts. However, they don’t know what they would have done if they were in her shoes. Sam and Mercedes are struggling with their feelings with each other. Mercedes can’t decide where her heart lies (just break up with Shane, how hard is it?). She serenades Sam in the choir room. That’s a hint Mercedes. He returns the favor with a mash-up of Bamboleo and Hero with the rest of the guys. They are wearing the creepiest shoes ever.
Santana duets with Dave with one of the hottest performances to ever grace the stage. The two of them perform a sexy rendition of La Isla Bonita. Santana is showing Schue how it’s done. She challenges him to prove to her that he can do better. He gets on stage dressed as a matador, has Brittany and Mike dressed as bulls, and performs a Spanglish version of A Little Less Conversation. Um. Yeah. She calls him out on it. It’s bad. It’s embarrassing. It’s stereotypical. And he’s a horrible Spanish teacher. Santana was the one who complained about him. In the end, Will moves to teach History and Dave is the new Spanish teacher. Will we be seeing him again? Yay!
Funniest Quotes of the Night:
With whose vagina??
I won’t stop till it’s trending.
Basically that entire scene of the football team describing how they clean their kibbles and bits.
Kathryn’s mother and Grandma to Bay and now Daphne, comes to visit. Grandma (guest star Meredith Baxter) doesn’t think before she speaks. This little problem may cost her her family.
Bay and Regina are dealing with Angelo’s disappearance. Immigration has no idea where he is and since Adrianna warned him ahead of time, he may have just fled. Daphne and Bay are struggling with where they came from and what their biological dna tells them they should be. Daphne is no longer welcome by her old friends in East Riverside because she’s “white” and “rich” now.
Bay’s grandmother has decided that Daphne is her new favorite granddaughter. She begins to treat Bay differently and even ignores her at a family get together. When she gives Daphne a gift that was meant to go to Bay, things become clear what she thinks. It’s not until Bay overhears her telling Kathryn that she can’t help but look at Bay differently because of the dna results and her background that it really sinks in. Her grandma continues to let slip borderline racist comments about where Daphne grew up and Bay loses it and leaves. She bonds with Regina over their love of art. I love that Kathryn’s character makes sure to make it a point that she never looked at Bay differently and still loves her just the same.
When Adrianna moves out and goes back to East Riverside, Daphne begins to wonder if she really has changed. Her old friends don’t want her and even she is beginning to look at her old neighborhood differently. Kathryn makes the decision to slowly let her feelings about her mother known. The families still have a lot of work to do.
This episode of Hawaii Five-0 was fantastic. Seriously. Can we just start nominating Scott Caan for all the awards right now? An ex-cop from Danny’s past shows up to make his life Hell. Danny put him in prison back in the day and now he wants revenge. If he has his way, Grace will die.
Steve and Chin realize the suspect from a crime earlier in the day is actually stalking Danny and his family. He has a ton of pictures of Rachel and Grace on his computer. He poses as a policeman and abducts Grace. When Danny gets the phone call that his daughter is in danger..it’s so amazing. What a fantastic job by Scott Caan. He puts Danny on a wild chase around the island doing his bidding. He threatens Grace’s life if he so much as makes a wrong turn.
The finale to his revenge has him giving Danny a gun and forcing him to kill Rachel’s husband Stan. His logic is that once he does this, Rachel will never forgive him and Danny will lose the person he’s in love with. Danny shoots Stan in the shoulder and twice in the ground so Steve and co. have time to arrest the bad guy. They rescue Grace and Rick is taken into custody.
This was a great episode. I kind of wish it was a two-parter or something. Scott’s acting was just that good.
It’s Truth Day at Rosewood and more than a few people in this town are clinging to their secrets. And thankfully in this episode, some are finally revealed. Before they can think about Truth Day, the girls cash in Alison’s (or should we say Vivienne?) claim ticket. It’s a red coat. Inside a pocket is an anonymous phone number. The girls call it and leave a message hoping to get some answers on Alison’s secret identity.
Hanna is in hot water over sending the naked picture of Kate. It’s things like this that make the moms suspicious that someone is hurting the girls. Luckily for Hanna, she notices that Kate has a huge birthmark on her hip. A birthmark that was clearly not in that photo. She realizes that Kate photoshopped her body to look smokin’ hot and framed Hanna for it. Hanna accuses her in the bathroom and the girls are hiding in the stall recording Kate’s confession. They finally do something smart! Probably the only smart thing in the episode.
One of the first things I got out of this episode is that the principal is a total ass. Emily learns that he is the sole reason she is not back on the swim team and calls him out publicly during a truth seminar for discriminating against her and holding a grudge about her reputation. The principal calls her over to the side and basically says her problems are her own fault and she deserves every bit of it. What an ass! Depressed, Emily apologizes to Mona for never sticking up for her when Alison treated her badly. Bam! Emily has a new BFF. Mona makes it her mission to get Emily back on the swim team. She grabs Emily and hacks into the principal’s computer to print some files that prove he was bribed by a father of a male jock. Hmm. Mona is good at changing her voice and is a computer whiz? HMMM.
Jason is back in town and really wants to see Spencer’s dad. Can they just reveal what we all know is coming? Spencer overhears her mom and Jason arguing in another room and has a memory of a similar event. Her parents are downstairs fighting while Spencer is hanging out in her room with Ali. Spencer tells her they’re arguing because her dad caught Melissa making out with Jason. Alison finds the news delish because she knows what we all know. It’s incest! Melissa is macking on her brother. Spencer talks to Jason and he confirms that Spencer’s dad is also his dad. I’d be so pissed if I were Spencer and had such a hot brother.
Jenna is in a group with Aria and Caleb and doesn’t want anything to do with the day. She tells the entire group that everyone in that school is untrustworthy and she’s a victim. Caleb calls her out on her crap and it’s beautiful. Do we have to worry about Caleb now? Aria walks in on Jenna and Noel in a creepy dark room together being creepy and…creepy. They hope Caleb is missing? Why are they making the two of them so obvious? It’s annoying. Aria is avoiding Holden because she saw drugs in his backpack and jumps to conclusions. He assures her it isn’t what she thinks.
When Aria goes to the roof of all places to look for Caleb, the door locks behind her and a creep in a black hoody is predictably about to attack her. Aria decides to climb even higher on the roof and then a wild Noel appears! He grabs her leg and demands to know where Caleb is. What the hell? Why does he want to know if he’s not A? Holden comes out of nowhere with some Chuck Norris moves and attacks his ass and leaves him on the roof. LOL. This scene was amazing.
The girls receive a call back from the number and it’s a girl who wants them to never call her again. Then in the middle of the night, the number calls again and it’s a guy who wants to meet them to talk about Vivienne. Oh yeah. This sounds safe. While sleeping, A steals Caleb’s laptop. I’m sure he’s about to be framed for something. Poor Caleb.
