Read on for our exclusive interview with Joshua Hoffman below:
You’re currently in Miami shooting the second half of Talia in the Kitchen season 1, which will be released in October. What can fans look forward to in the rest of the season?
New characters, more magic, more drama and….unexpected plot twists!
You have an active social media presence on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and especially YouTube. Do you interact with fans of Talia in the Kitchen online? How did they react to the first half of season 1?
Yeah, I respond to DMs and fans’ reactions to the show. We LOVE Talia in the Kitchen fans and I’m always happy to answer questions. We have a lot of fans and they are great to hear from. I think they really care about the characters.
In the show’s fifth episode, Rudy developed a crush on Talia. Talia and Tyson are the main pairing on the show, but do you think there could be a romantic future for Talia and Rudy, or are they better off staying friends?
I love to hear what the fans think… even Nick staff listens to them. So tell us what you think should happen!
How would you describe the vibe on the Talia in the Kitchen set? Do you have fun with your co-stars?
Yes, all the time. It’s a very fun creative vibe and we all get along great.
How does being on Talia in the Kitchen compare to other shows you’ve worked on, like Shameless?
Shameless was intense drama and Talia is much lighter. I like both. On Shameless, I was a bully named Les and he couldn’t have been more different than Rudy.
In addition to being an actor, you’re also a musician. Any plans to release some of your music?
I would love to but it’s all a matter of time. I spend a lot of my downtime writing music. I don’t want to rush it.
It sounds like you have a ton of interests, including acting, music, sign language, science, charity work, video games, and sports! What made you get into acting? Do you have a favorite interest, or do you like them all equally?
I have always liked performing. My mom suggested I enroll in an acting camp, after that I was asked to do a play and the rest is history… Acting is my favorite. I truly enjoy creating a character.
