Dallas is back for the second half of its third season!
Tonight, the episode picked up right where we left off. Not only did Southfork catch fire with Sue Ellen and Bo, the ex-ranch hand, caught inside, but Pamela overdosed on pills after catching (and joining) John Ross and Emma in the act. Did Sue Ellen, Bo and Pamela survive? Did Ann tell Bobby about that kiss with Harris? Will Elena ever catch on to Nicolas’ devious ways?

Burn Baby Burn
The episode opened up right where the midseason finale left off: the fire at Southfork and Pamela’s overdose. Christopher and Bobby rescued both Bo and Sue Ellen from the fire, while Emma and John Ross called 911 just in time to save Pamela from her overdose. Even though all were rescued, that doesn’t mean there weren’t any consequences. Bo’s accused of starting the fire, all while suffering from spinal cord damage (he may or may not walk again). Sue Ellen finally steps up by admitting to being drunk and lighting John Ross and Pamela’s wedding invitation on fire before passing out and accidentally starting the fire.
The First Rule About Cheating
John Ross feels regret over Pamela and Emma, which he absolutely should. Thankfully, he kicks Emma to the curb (Ann also boots her from Southfork) and vows to fight for Pamela, even though she wants nothing to do with him (just like Sue Ellen and the rest of the family). Hopefully John Ross will take Bobby’s advice and start being a better man by doing rather than talking cheap words. On the other cheating front, Bobby learns of Ann’s kiss with Harris, and all thanks to Mama Ryland. Bobby believes Ann when she tells him Harris kissed her, but he’s sick of her lies and secrets. He wants her to start telling the truth, but that still doesn’t stop him from kicking her out of Southfork.
Sleeping With the Enemy
Elena, you have some poor judgment when it comes to Nicolas. First, Elena learns Nicolas sent Pamela the video of John Ross and Emma getting it on. Then, not only is it revealed that Nicolas is using Elena to take down the Ewings, but he’s also working with the drug cartel because he lost millions of their money. The only way to get back said money is by getting Ewing Global to fund their takeover of the Mexican government. Yep, that’s why Nicolas invested $600 million. I say that’s one bad investment. If that isn’t bad enough, Nicolas and the drug cartel hold Drew hostage. After we learn Drew is the one who actually started the fire at Southfork (because he’s all about destroying the Ewings), Nicolas tells Drew he needs to stop messing up his plans or he will die at the hands of the cartel. Well, that’s what happens. Drew is shot dead by the cartel. Elena better figure out fast that Nicolas is some bad blood.
Quotes of the Night:
“It’s not mother’s milk, but milk from your mother.” -Judith to Harris (After handing him a glass of milk. Can you say creepy?)
“If I wanted pain from a whore, I’d just stay home.” -Harris to Judith
“We never made love. We screwed.” -John Ross to Emma
“What makes you think I’m hurt? I did what I did so every time you think of screwing that piece of trash all you’ll be able to see is me on the floor with my eyes rolled back in my head. Sexy, huh?” -Pamela to John Ross
Most Desperate Moment of the Night:
Dallas always calls for a little desperation, and poor Sue Ellen won that moment tonight by going to the hospital gift shop and stealing some after shave to get an alcohol fix. Good news: she tossed it before taking a sip and admitting to the family that she’s still drinking and will forever be an alcoholic.
In the words of Ann, this episode was “quite the mess.”
