Alexz Johnson has released new music! This is not a drill. The multi-talented actress and singer (who just may be one of my favorite vocalists ever) has released, Heart, her latest EP. Alexz is currently on tour in Europe alongside Ron Pope & Wakey!Wakey!.
Alexz released the first single “American Dreamer” recently and now fans of the songstress can listen to four fantastic songs from her Heart EP.
The lyric video for “American Dreamer” perfectly embodies how I feel when I listen to the song. I think, without a doubt, this one is my favorites out of the four songs available.
The song starts off soft with Alexz’s signature vocals launching into a strong and catchy chorus. “American Dreamer” has an anthem quality and has “hit” written all over it. If you haven’t heard it, you’re missing out. Make sure to press play above!
The next song on the list is “This Is Heartache“. Of the four, this is the one that stands out the most for being different. It’s because, perhaps, it’s the most uptempo of the bunch. It almost has a dance quality to it that will have you bopping your head in no time. I think this will be a favorite to listeners as well.
Up next is “Nothin’ On Me“. This track is the most hauntingly beautiful in my opinion. It features emotion filled lyrics combined with Alexz’s signature heartfelt vocals. I’m starting to realize these may all be my favorites. I should have known I wouldn’t be able to choose.
Finally, “Thank You For Breaking My Heart” takes the listeners on an experience that is so full of soul I swear, you’re just going to end up swaying with your hand in the air like you’re at a church. “Here I am singing the blues” Alexz sings. And she does it so well.
You guys seriously need to pick this one up. It’s what you would expect from Alexz. Fantastic music from an incredible vocalist.
